We were late heading out to dinner after a day on the river and almost didn’t eat here because the hours were wrong on Maps. (I edited after talking to the owner)
Luckily, we drove by and saw the open sign and were very happy we did. I had the special for the evening, a prime rib dinner with loaded baked potato, steamed vegetables, garlic Texas toast, and a dinner salad for $30. The prime rib was excellent and should be part of the regular menu! My wife wasn’t very hungry and ordered a side of fries. What a pleasant surprise! Quite possibly the best fries we have ever had. They were steak fries but about half the normal thickness, which gave them a crispy outside and light/fluffy inside. They came out seasoned perfectly with a proprietary seasoning. Highly recommend!
Also, when asking about the hours, they explained the restaurant is a diner from 6am-2pm and then switches to Steakhouse mode from 2pm-9pm.

Not exactly sure what this restaurant is trying to be (not sure if they know either), sounds like they may have recently opened. We were looking for a breakfast spot but cattlemen’s seemed to be closed and this place had a breakfast flag outside. We almost turned around when we realized it was called the steakhouse. Which, to be honest, didn’t make much sense to us anyway because it had a very diner/cafe atmosphere and there was no sign of steak on the menu. And then upon looking at google, some reviews say they serve Mexican food. So I’m not sure really what’s going on. The breakfast menu was very simple but sufficient. Prices were average or maybe slightly high for such a small town. Service was casual and friendly but it took a very long time to get our food. The omelet was fine, bacon was tasty, and the blueberry pancake was a little ridiculously huge but it was pretty good. Unfortunately, we had ordered fresh biscuit with the omelet and realized after we left that we never received the biscuit. Lastly, it was super cold in the restaurant! All in all, decent food but super slow service – and they should probably figure out what cuisine they’re going for and pick a name that suits it!

This is definitely a Mexican American restaurant. They just opened up so seems like they’re trying to work out kinks too. Food was good but not authentic Mexican. The restaurant looks very good though

New name ” Outcast Diner and Sports Bar”, it was real comfort food, our table had pork chop mashed potatoes and gravy, grilled chicken sandwich, cheese burger with fries, grilled salmon, even the chicken strip were hand breaded. The salads were great as well make sure you get the housemaid ranch for dipping as well. The waitstaff was friendly. A must stop if your in Riggins

Camping down the street from this restaurant. Awesome breakfast. They serve steak at night. Wed-Sunday I believe. They are under different management no longer serving Mexican food.
Definitely would recommend if in the area.

I stopped by Amigos Mexican Restaurant in Riggins, Idaho, and it was real good! The shrimp cocktail was a 10/10—big, fresh shrimp, served cold with a tasty sauce that’s just right. Best one I’ve tried around here. The place was clean too—tables wiped down, floors looked good, and the kitchen seemed in order. The people there were friendly and kept everything moving. If you’re out this way and want some solid Mexican food, Amigos is the spot. That shrimp cocktail’s worth it!

Stayed in Riggins for the weekend. We wondered why we were the only ones there for lunch. We quickly found out when our food came to the table. The guacamole was the best part of our meal. The pricing is on par for the location and type of town. All in all the service and pricing were amazing, keep it up. The food was disappointing. Keep the guacamole!

The staff (while young) did a great job. Carna asada fries and chicken enchiladas are what we ordered. They give ya lots of food and the people around here are great
