Pure nostalgia #stuffys! Years ago patronizing the Harrison St location (in the VCU area) I can still remember the smell of the bread! Last night was no different and to add one of the original sando experts is still working at the Libbie Ave location…customer service phenomenal and the subs taste just as good as they were over 30 years ago when I first had one! If you don’t know they will steam your sandwich, which is their signature technique for a yummy sandwich preparation! The decor is retro to include an OG arcade machine and the walls are filled with art work that you can buy! We ordered the giant West Virginian (turkey, bacon and cheddar) with an array of yummy toppings to include homemade pesto which Mimi added to her half and she said it was delicious! Of course I had to add my pickle spear so yummy! Picked up a homemade cookie too! Do yourself a favor and go get you a yummy meal!

I don’t understand why I’ve never been here prior to today. Oh. M. Gee. This was the best sandwich I’ve had in life. I clearly understand why they’re called Stuffy’s! I chose the Italian bread which was super fresh and oh so soft. The ingredients were fresh and so much to choose from. I even enjoyed a quick game of PacMan. I absolutely love the atmosphere and the customer service. And PLEASE grab some baklava, you won’t regret it. Promise

Underrated. A low key but very good neighborhood sandwich place. Cozy dining and delicious sandwiches. Reasonably priced. Not inexpensive, but it’s also not like you need a coupon to avoid being ripped off. There is one thing that absolutely annoyed the hell out of me. I ordered a special sandwich (forget what it’s called). The menu makes very very clear, soup nazi clear, that there are NO alterations to this sandwich, with all the exact ingredients specified on the menu, so don’t ask!!! Anyhow, the cook put salt on the tomatoes. I didn’t want salt, but it wasn’t listed in the description, so I didn’t think it would be a problem. The cook did graciously scrape the salt off the tomatoes, but why make a fuss about no customization on the sandwich if you don’t intend to make it exactly as it is described?

Booths are only made for skinny people, but they do have tables and they got a few new chairs that are way more comfortable than the wooden ones. That being said the food is always amazing.

I get the spicy Italian sub and it is AMAZING. It’s consistently amazing every time I go. The bread is really some of the best I’ve ever had. The employees are always friendly, bathrooms are clean, and there’s plenty of seating. I don’t think I’ll ever get a sub anywhere else

This is a classic sandwich place with great bread. There are hot and cold sandwich options, bagged chips, and root beer. They have a punch card to earn a free sandwich. The building is a little old. This place could use some updating but the food is good.

We were in Richmond to look at RV’s. I found this place on Google Maps. I sure am glad I did. The sandwices were great. Service was fast. The prices are reasonable.
