We absolutely loved it! Heaven on Earth! Luis made us feel like princesses! The food was amazing! We enjoyed our cocktails. The views are spectacular with the fire pits when it’s chilly you will never want to go home! 🙂

First visit to this establishment. Wife had the duroc porkchop and I had the black rice bowl with halibut. Chocolate cake for dessert.

My husband and I had dinner here last night, and it was easily the best meal of our trip.
We were able to make a reservation the same day. They were running a little behind when we arrived, but it was no issue for us and absolutely worth the wait. The host walked us over to the lounge bar, where we enjoyed drinks while waiting for our table. I ordered the Spiced Merchant, which was excellent — I would definitely recommend it if you enjoy rum.
The food is priced on the higher end, but the quality, flavor, and portion sizes make it well worth it. My husband started with the Gem Caesar salad, and I had the beet carpaccio, which was incredible (and a must if you love beets). We also added a bread basket, which was a great addition.
For our mains, my husband ordered the pork chop with mushroom bread pudding. He really enjoyed it, and the bite I tried was delicious. I ordered the ribeye. It doesn’t come with a traditional side, but we shared the sautéed mushrooms, which paired perfectly. My steak was cooked exactly right, and the chimichurri was outstanding.
We finished with the crème brûlée special for dessert, which was fabulous and a perfect ending to the meal.
Overall, the service was great and the food was even better. It’s definitely a splurge, but worth every penny. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend making a reservation and dining here.
The only downside is parking if you’re not staying at the hotel (we weren’t). I suggest arriving a little early to allow time to find a spot.

Wow!! This hidden gem is a wonderful find! Took my boy Brey to Dillon Beach and then here for brunch. The roads in the area are dicey- on the level of Hwy 1 but worth it. I had the BEST Eggs Benedict of my life!! Seriously the potatoes were cooked exactly how I like crispy on the outside soft inside- nothing soggy or mushy. The bearnaise was perfect, I love when they stick to traditional English muffins and ham- both excellent! Egg poached perfectly. I fear I am now ruined for any other eggs Benny!! In fact a place I subsequently went and ordered used brioche bread – which soaked up all the good flavors and left w w a mouthful of bread!! Thank you for what will likely be the Eggs Benedict that all future EB will be compared with!! Phenomenal!

We made reservations for their earliest dinner at 5pm and they accommodated with helping us push it out 30minutes. Our server was, Kelsey, and she was super friendly and helpful. We arrived with our baby and was able to choose a booth to sit at so we can sit next to her and feed her too. We had the Hamachi, baked oysters, black cod, mussels with noodles, and a peach mocktail. The drink was a little on the sweeter end but the ice melting helped dilute it. My favorite were the chewy noodles with the mussels and the crispy exterior of the cod with corn sauce. We also ordered the artisan bread (comes freshly warm) with yummy seaweed butter. There’s a beautiful view by the windows too and lots of seating outside with a fire pit to relax at if you’re there for drinks. We also love the convenience of it next to the lodge we were staying at.

I was a bit hesitant to try this place out due to some of the mixed reviews, but it was an incredible dinner experience! Beautiful coastal views and outstanding service from the restaurant staff. My daughter’s “butter noodles” were even delicious. Highly recommend the clams with chorizo and the pork chop mains.

Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was mediocre. Unseasoned halibut and shrimp, lukewarm warm butternut squash mash, Brussels sprouts covered with balsamic are what you can expect. The location and view is great. Fireside lounge might be the better choice if you can get a seat by the fire.

Drakes Sonoma Coast Bodge Bay is absolutely the best food I’ve ever had near the ocean. The whole experience was amazing — from the food to the views to the friendly servers.
My daughter ordered a shrimp dish that she really enjoyed, and my husband had something with chicken (I can’t remember exactly what, but he liked it). I ordered the halibut, which was perfectly cooked and delicious. At first we thought of sharing it with our daughter, but she said halibut wasn’t for kids, so we didn’t. Still, she had her own kid’s meal option, which was great.
The servers were attentive, the atmosphere was beautiful with a nice ocean lookout, and everything felt so relaxing. It was such an amazing experience overall, and we’re definitely planning to come back again. Highly recommend!

Second time in Bodega Bay and I was ready to try Drakes that was highly recommended. Disappointed in the seasoning of our appetizer platter and fish dish. Over dressed salad and very slow service. Took 50mins to get our clam chowder! Oysters were the only great thing we had.

This restaurant was definitely the lowest point of my stay at Bodega Bay. How it has such a high star rating, does not make sense to me. I strongly recommend skipping this restaurant. The experience started off shaky. There is not enough parking for the amount of patrons this restaurant can service. We were seated by the window which had excellent views of the bay. Hence the three stars for atmosphere. My first dish was the soup of the day, New England Clam Chowder. It did taste pretty good, not the best one I have ever had but good. My husband outside of getting the wrong order at first, his baked clams were good. After glancing around the room we noticed that people were provided with bread. We never got bread nor asked if we wanted some. The main course…oh the main course. The positive: the sauce for the scallops was delicious. The scallops could of been cooked better but most of the plate was edible. Now the very not so positive: The ribeye steak was suppose to be cooked medium rare and it was tartare, had no flavor and I had to send it back. A manager stopped by our table and told us a round of drinks would be on the house for the inconvenience. We were grateful. The return of the steak, which took a while, was still not cooked properly. Now it was on the rare side but at least edible. So instead of sending it back I just ate most of it. The fingerling potatoes were bland, the pickled onions did not go with the meal. The fried onions were stale. I put a lot of salt on them and it did not help. This was a $56 steak!!! Not worth it. The dessert was good. I had the Pavlova. Avoid this restaurant!!!
