I love the location and vibe here. The service is good and the staff is friendly. The house/fresh margarita is my go to. The chips and salsa is great. While most of the food I’ve tried is good some items like the shredded beef and the steak fajitas (previous visit) are bland.

The food was decent and the margaritas were strong, but the service was surprisingly bad – especially considering how empty the place was. Our order was taken quickly but we weren’t checked on until we were almost done with our meals. The server walked past our table several times without stopping or glancing over, and never asked how the food was. Once all of our plates were cleared, we sat for 15 minutes with our card sitting on the table, waiting for a check. Only 4 tables in the entire restaurant were full, and the staff spent the whole time standing around or sitting and talking to each other. They continued to do this as we left, nobody said “thank you”.
Just a little more effort would have been nice, they acted like it made no difference to them if we were there or not.

Food was delicious!! Server was incredibly patient with my crazy family & dad who asked for a million chips & salsas.
Had the queso dip – very good
And the mole enchiladas with shredded beef – also yummy

Margaritas were nice and strong. Flan above excellence. Ceviche was good, excellent amount of juice, I only wish it had another shrimp, or two, or more, for the price. Service was good, especially for it being Cinco de Mayo.

Delicious. We really enjoyed the salsa, guacamole, Shrimp Enchiladas and Chicken Mole. Everything was super tasty, the beer ice cold, and fast friendly service. Recommend!
We saw to go orders packed in Styrofoam clamshells and wish the owners would consider an eco-friendly alternative.

It’s just too expensive. Tasty but not that tasty. With the abundance of fabulous Mexican food in Portland, there’s just no good reason to spend $21 on a burrito and $10 on guacamole. Feeding 3 people for over $120 with tip is a lose in my opinion.

This spot used to be one of our favorites and now I think we’ll never be back. The food was alright, but what really got me was we had some of the worst Cadillac margaritas of my life. I regretted not sending them back. Nice people, bad product. Definitely not worth the money.

Update, August 2024:
Rocio’s has made a few changes lately – changing the look of their menu, and doing some redesign of their interior space, but the food is still as good as ever.
Service remains attentive without hovering – perfect for getting water glasses topped off and for checking out easily.
Prices have always seemed a bit steep here, when I’m perusing the menu, but by the time I’m packing up my leftovers, I always remember how generous the portions are.
Rocio’s fajitas are one of my biggest photo challenges – the steam coming off the protein platter does unpredictable things to my camera. The flavor makes it completely worthwhile.

Lovely, modern place with pleasant atmosphere, perfectly moderate portion size, and nicely affordable upgrades on margaritas. Just what I would hope for in a neighborhood place

Just found this place and it’s sooo good! Great service and good prices. We had brunch and will definitely be back to try more. The rest of the menu is huge! Tons of different Tequila’s and drink choices from the bar.
