Stopped by for lunch on Friday about 12:30ish. We ate inside but they had a very nice outside Bar and tables. We ordered a Shrimp Cocktail and Maryland Crab Dip with Tortilla Chips. For our drink we got the Salty Tarpon Signature Punch. Jrod delivered our Punch quickly and soon after our Crab Dip with Chips and the Shrimp Cocktail. All the food we had was ok and the service was spot on quick. I must give this place 4 out of 5 stars.

Our 1st time here. We ate out on the deck at the bar. Service was great. Big fans kept it cool. Lots of tvs. Bartender very friendly and attentive. She was willing to give us a sample of a beer on tap and opened a new bottle of sweet tea vodka for us. We ordered the house salad with chipoltle ranch and add on shrimp. Shrimp were delicious just stinks to only get 4 for $7 extra. Also got the wings, decent quantity with a delicious Fresno honey sauce. Fresh carrots and celery in the side. Would come back.

We have eaten here and enjoyed just being at the bar here! What a great addition to Punta Gorda! Lobster bisque is amazing…I know this is weird , but the tater tots yes please! Everything I have eaten there is amazing! The staff is the best ! The atmosphere is amazing with music everyday! Come out and enjoy !you definitely won’t be disappointed!

Amazing food with service to match and Ciara (sp?) our server, was the icing on the cake! We needed to eat quickly and she made it happen! We ordered the beef sliders, salty burger and capers chicken sandwich. Each item as SO delicious. The fries were fresh and hot and the drinks were delicious!

Oh my !!! Emily was such a joy to dine with. After our amazing drinks, she recommended the beef and reef sliders. I was iffy, holy moly, that girl was right ! Guys don’t sleep on those. They come with a choice of FF or Tatertots.
I’m not sure what shifts Emily works, I hope you all get the chance to sit and her bar !!

This is a good stop for seafood but they have also ofer some non seafood items which I liked. We had the Ahi Tuna tower and the salty burger. The Ahi was tender and it had so many different flavor combinations. The wasabi mayo provided the perfect balance of spicy and creamy. It went perfectly with the tower. We would have loved some more wonton chips with it but it was very good. The burger was also good. The dill mayo and arugula added a good bite. Accompanied with the boursin cheese this burger is sure to please. I also enjoyed the tots. Perfect crunch and softness. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They offer happy.hour specials as well as a kids menu.

The Salty Tarpon is appropriately named. The food comes out of the kitchen loaded with a month’s supply of salt and is not edible. We all sent our food back. The kitchen may have given our server some static over it, but she was fabulous and took great care of us.
Unfortunately, the replacement meals still came out way too salty, even when we told them to not use any salt at all, which is easily done when you are grilling seafood.
The hostess, bartender and waiter were all very experienced, helpful and professional. I would rate all of them as exceptional staff. Unfortunately, the kitchen has lost their ability to properly season or not to salt food when asked not to. I will give them credit for not overcooking the seafood on the second attempt, but it was so salty that it was not enjoyable.
What tasted like overcooked, over salted canned green beans were also very disappointing.
The Cole slaw was good.
The lobster mac and cheese was acceptable.
The tater tots were fine.
Many Thanks again for the front of the house staff.
As a former owner and server of several restaurants in SW Florida, I appreciate how challenging the business can be, but our experience was completely unacceptable, especially given how easy it is to do properly.

UPDATE: We went back for brunch today (3/30/25) with a group of 8 and it was off the chain!! The biscuits & gravy were in the top 3 I’ve ever tasted. The steak & eggs were cooked a perfect medium rare, and the shrimp & grits was, by far, the tastiest we’ve ever had. I grabbed a couple of photos this time. Highly recommend the brunch!! (weekends only.) They have definitely found their groove and this will be our favorite brunch spot from now on!

We’ve been twice for lunch and once for dinner and found great offerings from their extensive menu. Be sure to try the Carrie’s Bourbon Salmon and the tater tots! The indoor bar and dining room is cool and relaxing with plenty of big-screen TVs, in case you want to keep tabs on a game. The outdoor bar offers both shaded and full sun options, as well as more TVs. As with any new restaurant, they’re working out a few kinks, but we anticipate this will become the new favorite spot for locals because of the excellent and very responsive management team.

All the food looked excellent and my burger was on point. What killed it was from the very first interaction with the older bartender lady outside. She was clearly overwhelmed and under prepaired. She had really bad energy from the go. Her bad wasn’t even properly stocked for her to function well… she had to keep on running inside for things. I sat for 10 minutes before I was asked what i wanted and in between I watched her get and serve locals she knew that came in after me. She didn’t even have salt at her beer for a freaking margarita… we switched to the inside a bar which was pleasant and started filling up shortly after we sat at the bar. the bartender insure was nice and pleasant… she got pretty rocked too with customers, but was cool. It’s a cute place, and the food was good.. u think y’all need some front of house moral boosting, or training, or possibly more help. ♂️
