The food here is genuinely good, but I will never return because of the rude behavior from the women at the front. It’s also extremely overpriced. The constant eye-rolling while guests are ordering and the personal phone conversations—even when there’s a line—are completely unprofessional.
I was so turned off by the attitude and overall atmosphere. It’s a shame, because with better customer service, this place could really thrive.
I’m warning others: yes, the food is good, but if you don’t want to deal with nasty attitudes when you walk in, stay away from this place.

Food is great. Whether ordered or picked it’s always consistent. Their customer service is not great. We’ve covered a few times for pickup and it seems like every time we order the order is wrong. Recently placed an order and it was for yellow rice and chicken and they gave us white rice beans and steak. Ordered chicken and cheese empanadas, got beef. Husband had to wait an extra 15 minutes to get order corrected. Woman/girl at the front argued back saying that’s not what you ordered on the phone instead of just trying to make it right. Empanadas were also pretty much empty. Again we’ve never had an issue with the food. I would even say some of the best in the area as far as food. However call in for pickup seems to be a toss up and customer service almost doesn’t exist.

Sent my boyfriend to pick up some food and never again. Said the workers weren’t friendly, energy was off, and they were obviously starring and talking about him. Couldn’t even reply to a “thank you” or “have a good one”. If you want people of all backgrounds coming to try and experience how good our cultures food can be then maybe try and be more welcoming. Wish I could’ve listened to the rest of the reviews saying the same.

Came there with my fiance cause she wanted some soup. From the time we walked in it didn’t feel welcoming at all. The man behind the counter acted like he didn’t want to serve us. We asked what kind of soup they had he was clearly annoyed and very short in his response. After ordering we sat to wait. The man went to talk to two waitresses and all three looked at us and laughed. After waiting for a while I went to him and asked how long before the soup will be ready he looked at me and shrugged his shoulders and said I don’t know. We got up and left. We’ve heard some people around there had the same experience with rudeness. And that the food isn’t good either. I’ll make sure I let everyone I know never go there. Very unprofessional

This spot has very good authentic dominican food. It reminds me of that home cooked meal. The staff is very nice. I would highly recommend.

I spent over $70 on food from this restaurant and was really disappointed with what I received. The food arrived cold, stale, and just didn’t taste fresh. As a Puerto Rican, I was hoping for authentic flavors, but the dishes really missed the mark. I understand the restaurant is Caribbean, not Puerto Rican, but adding cheese to a mofongo and serving carne frita that tasted old was really off-putting. Even the sauce for the plátanos lacked flavor. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t worth the price or the experience.

Food was excellent; however, when I paid with my debit card, they charged me a 3% surcharge which is NOT legal as per federal law. I spoke with the manager, and she removed the charge! BE CAREFUL!

Ordered the Whole Rotisserie Chicken and small yellow rice. Received only 1 thigh and leg on the chicken. What happened to the other leg and thigh? Not worth the money. I could have picked up a Rotisserie Chicken from Shoprite for 1/2 the price ($7.99) and it would have been better. Believe me, don’t waste your money. Wish I could give them 1/2 star. They can’t blame the delivery service because this has happened before. They have given me food that I didn’t order or have left off items that I ordered.

On Monday 6/24/24, I went to this establishment to get some Sancocho (soup) for my sick child. I politely asked the young eccentric lady to not include any meats or vegetables. I only wanted the broth as my kid doesn’t like the extra stuff it brings. My first red flag should’ve been when she said the kitchen has to “make it but it will be out right away”. As a Dominican myself, I am very aware that Sancocho takes hours to make. Hence, why I didn’t make it myself at home. She asked me to have a seat and wait. I did. I waited about 10 minutes more or less. She brings the soup out and I see that it’s mostly chunks of corn and root vegetables. Which took up 90% of the container. I reminded her that I didn’t want any meats or vegetables. She clarified by asking “so no kinds of meats or anything?” I politely answered “yes that’s right, just the broth please.” I thought maybe she didn’t understand at first. Ok cool. I wait ANOTHER 10 minutes. At this point, I ask if the order was ready. She said it’ll be a few more minutes but she would check with the kitchen to see what’s taking so long. A few more minutes come by and she comes out and heads straight to my bag (that had other items I ordered) and puts the container inside. I walked up to the front where she was. I put my hand on the container, and peeked from the top lid to see if I saw any “chunks”. When I felt how cold the container was, I said “really? COLD? You’re killing me. I’ve been waiting for almost 30 minutes for a COLD soup?? What have ya been doing back there??” She was not apologetic or offered to rectify the situation. I was annoyed and disappointed so I left to go home to my sick kid. When I got home… I opened the container and the oozing sound it made churned my stomach. As you can see in the video, this soup is OLD. how can you serve COLD and OLD soup?? It made me wonder what other old/ reheated food are they serving??? I’m so disappointed. Never again.
