First time at S&P and it was a positive experience. The bartender let us know they were out of a few wing sauces off the bat which was a bummer but the wings we received were piping hot and crispy. The burger was delicious but had WAY too much onion. Prices were on par with other spots in the area and the waitresses were attentive and prompt. The menu is VERY condensed so be aware.

The Salt and Pepper Pub on North Market Street in Nanticoke is an establishment that serves very good bar food, from sandwiches to burgers to wings…and a lot more.

We arrived for our 6:30 p.m. reservation and sat out on the patio. There was only one other table occupied the entire visit. This really wasn’t a good idea, however, since the outdoor dining area is next to a busy street, and the sound of the traffic at times drowned out the conversation. We probably could’ve sat indoors, since the restaurant was practically empty, but the weather was too pleasant to pass up.

For an appetizer, I ordered a plate of 5 deep-fried braised beef short rib pierogi’s. I would recommend the steamed version, as the dough was very hard. However, that was my mistake, and not the restaurant’s. Should I visit again, I’ll definitely choose the latter. Nevertheless, the beef was tender and delicious, and completely filled the pierogi.

We also ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich, which was extremely tasty. The chicken was tender, the marinara sauce mild, and plenty of cheese with every bite.

Along with our sandwiches, we ordered the white cheddar mac and cheese. I recommend eating half of your meal before digging in because the savory cheese sauce needs time to thicken for a more satisfying experience. The elbow macaroni was served al dente adding to an already perfect side.

Also ordered were the truffle fries, which was delightful. The fries were crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside, and packed a lot of flavor.

We had a fudge brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Overall, the dessert was average but it hit the spot after our entrees. The brownie was served warm, and the slightly melted ice cream added to a refreshing dish.

All told, the Salt and Pepper Pub deserves a visit, but I wouldn’t travel far to dine there. The food was very enjoyable, and would make an excellent casual night out…if you’re in the area.

Food was excellent. We had the steak ravioli, seafood Fra Diablo, Giuseppe steak along with salted caramel Expresso martini, birch beer float, lemoncella martini. The bread served before the meal came with butter that had a nice red pepper and garlic flavoring. We met with the owner and learned a lot about his passion for the restaurant and his customers.

Don’t use the parmesan! Its literally tastes like powdered cardboard. The service is very slow and disorganized but pleasant. It took 25 min to get a mixed drink and it was not super busy. There is a very limited wine list especially if you only want a glass not a whole bottle. The food is alright, appetizers are big enough for a meal. Very limited vegitarian options.
Update-ordered take out and will never again. Cesar salad had soo much cheese and dressing it was difficult to eat. Tomato mozz salad for $8 was 1/2 a tomato and a few slices of mozz. Sweet dressing on it. Lobster was super greasy and burnt.

Absolutely the best local restaurant in the WV. The staff is kind, service is amazing, and the food is fabulous. They are always attentive to my son who needs GF meals. They have GF options or can adapt for GF requests. We go here often and my son loves the marinara pasta.

This was our first time visiting Giuseppe’s, and we weren’t disappointed. At the time we visited there were just a few other groups there, but that was probably due to a storm. The servers were friendly and very attentive. The inside of the restaurant suggested very fine dining. The menu had a variety of fine Italian meals, including seafood, steak, and more. The prices were pricey, but the portions we’re really big plus the table got unlimited bread and butter. I had the Shrimp Vodka which was delicious, along with a Peach Sangria. My son enjoyed his ‘light spice’ Seafood Diablo, and my daughter had a perfect NY Strip Steak. We will visit again soon!

So I came here in the summer and the food was amazing and the atmosphere outside was nice. so we returned for a second time and it was totally the Opposite I had the veal moozzablle which had no flavor and Italian wedding soup that tasted like water. My service was outstanding the waitress went above and beyond to help us out. But the food wasn’t the worst part of my dining experience. There is NO Social Distancing the restaurant was packed we people and the tables are not 6 feet apart we literally sat behind other people and the other table was on our side. With covin19 numbers going up in lurzecounty again that sent a red .
To top it off I noticed a guy standing behind the bar not wearing a mask.
I don’t know if I will return after this past experience.
People need to start worrying about there customers safety
