What happened to blue bell diner? When I was here a year ago the food was home cooked and delicious. What is blue bell without the home cooked taste. These potatoes are store bought/frozen and I’m assuming the meatloaf is frozen as well from the looks and taste of it. Regardless neither were anything to talk about. Why anyone would pay these prices when you can buy the same thing at Kroger and heat it up in your microwave is beyond me. Blue bell is supposed to be somewhere you can take your family and have food that taste like your grandma made it. Not like it came off the back of the truck. I’m sorry but y’all’s food has went downhill.

Great food! Fresh in house made desserts and the list is extensive. The diner has a modern decor and has a nice layout. Clean restrooms and great staff. The chocolate chip cookies are a must for any chip lovers.

I think this could be one of my favorite little town diners of all time! This is in a lovely little country town and it is a charmer! The atmosphere A+, service A+, prices A+, and food A++. We can’t wait to return. I ate a breakfast off of the fall special menu, it was a breakfast bowl of sweet potatoes, regular fried potatoes, maple sticky bacon, spinach, goat cheese and egg of choice (I chose over easy). It was amazing! My husband had the country fried steak, it was awesome! A must go to over and over restaurant! Tour the town too, you won’t be disappointed

Enjoyable diner on the Square in McConnellsville. Clean and friendly with good food well cooked and quick to the table. A lot of taste in my vegetable omelette – could be the best veggie omelette I’ve had. The others breakfasts were equally good. Hard to beat in McConnellsville.

They’re doing it right at the Blue Bell! It’s become our regular stop as we pass through Morgan County into Athens and points south. You can’t go wrong with breakfast or lunch, and there’ll be enough to take home for leftovers. Staff is busy, but they’re kind, plus know the menu well– they help each other out as well, which is always a mark of great service.
We’re happy we found McConnelsville, and happier still that we found Blue Bell!

Super cute little diner. The staff was friendly, helpful and quick. Very clean and nice! The menu had a good selection and good prices. Love the walk up window outside to order coffee. All the food we ordered was perfect and really good. Great stop if you are in the area.

We visited from Newark, Ohio and really enjoyed downtown McConnellsville. Blue bell diner is perfect for the area. We enjoyed a delicious Hot Chai latte and a harvest moon latte (oh my word it’s delightful that honey foam hits right!). The restaurant is clean and bright. It is tiny n quaint. The cousion on the bench seat could be a Lil more firm I felt like my chin was at the table once I sat down. As for service, ours was good we were welcomed with a hello and smile. We were seated as soon as a table opened up. I only noticed one girl with her hair down and I saw her delivering food the most. That really grosses me out. I doesn’t look good carrying food and clearly trying to keep your hair out of it I could tell she was struggling, just make her wear it up like everyone else she’s beautiful no matter how her hair is. OK the long wait for the food may have made me more observant but we got a plate of blueberry pancakes and a steak burrito, both were very good! I could have split the cakes between 3 people it’s a lot! Well worth the price for locally sourced food! I will recommend this diner to others and return again.
