The food was delicious, but I much preferred when it was a counter service restaurant. It was quick, easy and service was friendly and prompt. Since the change whole place seems understaffed, w / tables sitting dirty for a good amount of time and food taking 45 mins to get out from the time of order. Also, there was nowhere to stand as we waited for our table to be cleared off, which made us feel in the way instead of welcomed. Additionally, we watched as people who were seated long after we were, receive their food before we did. I don’t believe it was our server’s fault, but overall, some things need to change.

If you are in a hurry for soup and sandwich, this isn’t your place. Waitress was negligent even though we were alone in the place for the first ten minutes. Took three of us over an hour to eat from entry to checkout. At 6:00 on a Friday night, I was surprised that no one else was there. Now, however, I’m not surprised at all. Food was good though.

Ghyslain remains the best place in Louisville when it comes to deserts. That being said, I am sad to see the NuLu location close down since this location (Westport Village) is terrible.. There is ZERO ambiance. When you walk into a store that has no music playing, all you can hear is the buzzing noise of the coolers etc. The ‘feeling’ is more of a greasy spoon, less of a high-end establishment. Again, keep in mind the treats are excellent. Poor service. We walked up to the counter and did not get a hello. This has happened all three times we have visited this location. Each time a different person is behind the counter. No hello… No welcome… Just a quick “whatchu want” or “dining in?”. No smile either. The people working behind the counter seem overwhelmed, tired and unhappy.
Management needs to fix things and FAST. Again, the treats are fantastic. It’s the vibe and service that have completely tanked. My wife and I will not be coming for quite a while, and I will read the most recent reviews here before attempting to bring guests again.

I’ve only ever gotten take out breakfast sandwiches from here, but theyou are nothing less than amazing! So good, I placed a to go order today and the man who answered his name was Tyler was great and made me laugh. I definitely recommend this place and will be back.

Food was delicious but the service was slow. There was only one waitress in the whole restaurant and she was over worked and overwhelmed. You could tell she was stressed out. I hate to give only 3 stars, but the service was so bad and I felt so awkward and unwelcome that I doubt if I would come back.

Service is so bad, I came with my mom and friend to this place and they were so rude to us. We had to wait 30 minutes for someone to come and serve us, beside when they brought the coffee to us it was spilled everywhere on the plate under the cup:( not professional at all.
