This was my first time coming. I was warmly greeted by DARIUS. And we found a place to sit and we were checked out and served by Lauren. She was very helpful, kind and knowledgeable about the menu. This place went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. The kids absolutely loved playing the arcades and playing outside. We definitely will be back. Thank you to all the staff at the back porch.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I went here expecting to enjoy a decent meal, but what I got was an absolute joke. I ordered fried chicken and what I was served was basically just crust and fat—no meat, no substance, just greasy, chewy junk. My friend ordered BBQ and got the same garbage: pure fat pretending to be food. We both looked at our plates in disbelief.

When I politely asked for a better piece, they had the nerve to tell me “that’s how every piece is.” Seriously? If every piece is just fat and crust, maybe you shouldn’t be serving chicken or BBQ at all. I’ve had better food at gas stations.

Don’t waste your money or your stomach on this place. It’s overpriced, lazy, and just plain gross. Total disappointment. Never going back.

Food was greedy and bbq sauce was running off the plates when the sat them on our table. Fried green tomatoes were soggy and beans were nasty tasting. Fried pickles were too hard to bite into. Definitely not worth the high prices.

Enjoyed an evening catching up with an old friend here. The pizza was really good. The fried green tomatoes were good, but greasy. The bartender was super nice, but not super responsive, on their phone pretty frequently. I would definitely go back.

The absolute worst service we’ve ever received here. Probably won’t be back!!!! Placed our order at 2:22 pm and as of 3:12, we still don’t have our appetizer or our food. I asked a young lady to check and she walked away then walked right passed our table and never said a word. I finally asked the bartender if he would check on our order. Not one single person has even walked over to our table and said I’m sorry it’s taking so long. Nothing!!!! My husband is a diabetic and when you’re having a low sugar and you need to eat, it’s not a good situation. I’m pissed that it is taking an hour or more to get food. So uncalled for.

Was recommended to check out this restaurant by some local folks, specifically the chicken sandwich. Not sure what’s going on or what the plan was for this chicken sandwich as there are whole pieces of chicken bones inside the sandwich. It wasn’t a mistake as my colleague ordered a sandwich as well and both had bones inside! Who puts bones in sandwiches? Straight to jail!

Me and my husband stopped and ate dinner here as we were traveling through to Gatlinburg from Gulf coast Mississippi !! This was phenomenal! We order the sampler and chose it pulled pork and the sausage with baked beans and potato salad! The meats were sooooo good! And add the amazing White sauce!!! Only bad thing is that I was crazy about the baked beans but other than food was incredible!!!
We also got the pimento cheese and pepper jelly with pork rinds another hit!!! Completely delicious! Atmosphere was amazing live music was playing and the decor is so cute and rustic!!! Love the ability to see the brewery as well!!! So cool

Went to Saws with family. My daughter got the Fried Green Tomato BLT. It had very little lettuce and no sandwich sauce as described on the menu. The only person we saw was the one taking orders. It was pathetic. Won’t go back. Would post a picture but not sure how to.

I absolutely love to visit here. From the beginning to the end this place is so good. During the warm months you can eat outside, play corn hole, mini golf, listen to live music. The kiddos can run around on the turf and watch a movie at the drive in. During the winter months you can still enjoy outside or stay inside for live music, pool tables, video games, and great food. From the cheese pizza pie, salad, fries and BBQ there are so many options on the menu. Just all around good food, good people and good fun.

I’m really disappointed with how The Backyard has seemed to go downhill. The atmosphere is still great for families, but the food and service has declined greatly. During our most recent visit, we stood at the order counter for >5 mins waiting for someone to greet us. Not a big deal because we can be patient, but 2 staff members (1 in the kitchen and one standing at the counter of what looked like to-go food?) looked at us yet didn’t acknowledge us at all which was odd. I was in food service for 10+ years and a “someone will be right there” goes a long way, but it’s not that deep. I wouldn’t complain about just that. When the person who takes orders finally arrived, she acted completely irritated that we were there. She took our order but forgot to give us our drink cups, so I asked for them and she gave me a discernible annoyed look. I moved on just assuming we all have our days. You never know what’s going on in someone’s world. When our food arrived, one item was luke warm at best and the onion rings were pretty burnt. I tried them because I’m not going to send something back unless it isn’t edible, but they tasted of burnt cooking grease. I mentioned it to the very nice food runner, who honestly was the only redeeming factor in this experience, and they said they completely understood and noticed, but the kitchen gets annoyed if the staff asks them to remake food before they send it out. Verbatim. They brought new ones out, but they were the exact same. Burnt and tasted like they had been cooked in grease that hadn’t been changed in at least a day, if not more. Maybe it was an off day, but idk that I’ll come back. $40 is a lot to spend on meh food and I question what’s going on in the back if they’re ok sending out poor quality food. All in all, the collective experience just wasn’t great.
