Poor quality and rude service.

As you walk in you are instructed to come back and order at the counter, which was fine. However after ordering at the counter we were to pay and tip before receiving the food.
as the food arrived to our table we were extremely disappointed. the rolls were all rice and contained little to no fish. for the price that is ridiculous!
the shrimp tempura was disappointing as it has no shrimp inside. all breading. once we addressed the issue with the employee he showed us the product form the fridge and explained that it was just how it was.
the crab roll was inedible and full of shells. we were told by the employee he planned to refund us for the roll before we had even mentioned it to him. which was odd as we had already paid and he had not said anything to us.
The nigiri was fishy and awful, also full of bones in every bite.
as locals we really wanted to love this place! however the restaurant was dirty, the food was not edible, and the staff were rude and unwilling to come to a compromise.
not to mention the restaurant was particularly dirty.

as we were talking at the counter about our experience the employee was handing money with his bare hands, grabbing product from the fridge to show us the premade shrimp tempura they use in the rolls all while saying he “needed to go make sushi”
we then saw him begin to construct rolls without washing his hands.
i would say to try the ramen but the restaurant was filthy, i would not trust the kitchen.
after our dining experience we were not offered refunds even though he had planned to refund the crab roll apparently. he employee picked our leftover eaten food off of our plate shows us that we ate it, then without washing his hands went back to making orders for other customers.

Food was great and came out pretty fast. I got the spicy tuna roll and vegetarian ramen, both of which were very good–the baby bok choy in my ramen was especially fresh. Plenty of seating inside a cool historic building with big windows looking out onto downtown. Great place for a quick, tasty lunch!

Such a great Ramen spot in Gettysburg. This was honestly the last place I expected to find good Ramen, but I was happily surprised. The Ramen was so good! Wish I lived closer to visit more often. I will definitely be back next time I am in the area. My kids loved all the Japanese snacks and drinks available in the shop. Also, so convenient that this Ramen shop is connected to the Majestic Theater. Loved being able to use the nice theater ladies’ lounge and bathroom

Things I wish I’d known before going:
They take the college’s food plan, so they were very busy.
Friday night is not the best time to go.
We had to wait 30 min before we allowed to order. Once we did the food came out promptly. So, while unusual, it was kind of a wash.
The staff is friendly, and the food is terrific.

My Husband and I got dinner here. They were closing an hour early (states close time at the time of this post is 9pm). They sat the group before us and then told us we were going to have to order out. (Not ideal as we walked in at the same time but fine) We each ordered a bowl of ramen and one roll. Our ramen was ready first. And like any one who orders and pays for food I make sure my order is correct. When I checked my husband’s ramen order (he ordered an extra egg) he only had one egg. I went to asked if maybe it was a mistake or something. As soon as I approached the counter, before I can even get a word out. The guy who took our order started yelling at me “NO MORE”. When I was finally able to explain I just wanted to know if it is only supposed to be half an egg. The person then asks a server (I am assuming who prepared our food). And the server doesn’t even acknowledge him. Then points his finger at me in an accusatory manner and shouts “I put the egg in your food”. I replied “there is only have an egg is it supposed to be like that?” Then the original person I spoke to confirms it supposed to only be half pieces. Which is odd because no where on the (physical) menu does it say that. I said fine, it should probably specify on the menu. At no point did I raise my voice to anyone. I got nasty attitude for asking a seemingly reasonable question. TLDR: Customer service is crap. The food wasn’t near god enough for the treatment we received.

Firstly, you pay and tip before you can even sit down, I thought that was weird and usually would have left because it already feels scammy but I had my three year old who was set on having ramen. I paid and tipped (20% at that because I had no idea what kind of service or food quality I was getting so I just tried to play it safe) on the iPad but then the man at the counter told me I needed to also write my tip on the receipt that printed out which made me uncomfortable but again I just did it because I didn’t want to cause any issues. The food came out in a timely manner and I will say it was very good tasting. The only issue with the food is the ramen had a hard boiled egg in it which I found odd to have rather than soft boiled. We got chicken ramen plain, tonkotsu ramen, and shrimp shumai. The issue I had and why I give one star is because I ordered two fountain sodas. When I tasted mine something tasted really off about it and I immediately stopped drinking it. My daughter also said hers was “nasty” and she never gets soda so for her to refuse it when this is a special occasion told me I was not mistaken it did indeed taste bad. So I asked the man could we please have canned or bottled soda instead and he said “you could buy more”. So at this point Im annoyed, I paid whatever price for two sodas our total was $39 before the tip I wasn’t spending more on soda. So I said okay well can we just have waters instead. Tell me why we were given one cup of water no straw. At that point I felt so uncomfortable and annoyed I didnt bother to ask for another one. Me and my three year old shared one glass of water after paying for two sodas. It is sad our experience here was ruined over what was probably $5/6 sodas because the food was decent but I will never return somewhere with such horrible and stingy customer service. And of course I regret my forced start of the meal tip after that as well. Lol

Stopped by for lunch. Was told that the food here was good. It did not disappoint! Fresh made sushi. I had a spicy tuna roll which was excellent. I got the Chashu Ramen for my entree. The broth was rich and flavorful. Not too spicy so I added some Sambal which is provided on the table. The pork belly was tender and delicious. The bok choy was nicely steamed. Plenty of noodles, quite a generous portion. Nori, cooked egg and bamboo shoots made the soup even more varied in color, texture, and flavor. Nice spot for a meal and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and portions. Service was pleasant and attentive. Highly recommend.

The guy yells at people for ordering and the food takes absolutely ages to arrive. One of my friends ordered one sushi roll and had to wait almost an hour and when we asked all he said was telling us to go sit down and come back later, and then told us he said it was going to take a long time and didn’t listen.

Great little sushi place!
Man behind the counter isn’t the friendliest but I assume there is a language barrier there, so I’m not bothered by it.
I got the Rainbow Roll and it was amazing! Made fresh right there which is a huge plus for me!
Plenty of seating inside and it is well kept and clean. Definitely stop by here if you love sushi, you will not be disappointed!

The food was great and so were the people there. I ordered the shoyu ramen, and it was amazing. My family and I all think that this was an amazing place to go eat. Overall 5 stars.
