Outstanding sandwiches!
Fabulous attention to detail. You gotta get a gourmet root beer!
I accidentally left my phone there and they were so helpful. I highly recommend this spot!
I went there for the first time today with my child and partner. We hadn’t received our food yet so I decided to move to the other side window on the other side of the door which equally had two stools. While I was moving the stool just slightly behind me because my partner and I were planning on standing while our child sat, suddenly I heard someone yell “MA’AM! Don’t move the furniture!” I was quite embarrassed and shocked since she standing all the way in the general store so her voice definitely was loud and there was another family eating who stopped to stare on. I was caught off guard but gently replied that I didn’t plan on moving them anywhere else and only wanted to stand. ( she clearly assumed that I was going to move it since my family had three people but this was not the case.) This was exceptionally rude and because of this I will not be returning. We got boxes from a young girl with glasses ad dark hair who was very kind, but the woman who I was told was names Tiffany, was very rude. My husband ordered the food from her and told me he felt she came off as if we were inconveniencing her by ordering and did not come off friendly whatsoever. I understand that people have bad days, but if you’re having a bad day you should try not to take it out on customers who are literally giving to your business. Be kinder. And even *if* I had been wanting to move them stool so my party of three was able to fit at the window, this should not have been a problem. Luckily we were not wanting to sit, but this just shows we would’ve had to stand because she wasn’t going to allow us to move a stool even though there was only one 3 person family sitting in the entire restaurant. It was not even packed, so no one was waiting on a seat which makes it strange that she was so disgruntled at thinking I was moving the chair. She also mumbled under her breath after I told her I wasn’t moving it “ Don’t move the furniture!” As she was going towards the other guests sitting down. Again this was embarrassing and rude, but again clearly not everyone here is as unkind and rude as this woman, the other employee was very kind.
TO THE OWNER’S REPLY-
You may want to train your employees on your menu. I specifically asked, “what does the sandwich come with?” The gentlemen at the register, taking my order replied, “Just the sandwich.” So it was not offered when asked! Your sandwich was not up to a good club sandwich. Also, your PETTY comment regarding, “I hope all of your meals are 5 star” was completely RUDE. I bet you won’t be in business is less than two years with yall’s terribly rude attitudes!
5-17-2025–
Disappointingly this restaurant has gone downhill. They used to serve different, more elevated type sandwiches with unique sauces but now the menu is average. We ordered the club sandwich which was average and did not come with any cheese, just a minimal amount of turkey, ham, lettuce and tomatoes, no side at all. They now charge for chips, pickles. I have never been to a sandwich place that does not have sides, or at the very least, chips with the sandwich, especially when the sandwich costs $16!!! We will not return.
I did not post a pic of our sandwich this time as it did not warrant a picture.
11/26/21- Quaint, vintage place with a delicious twist of flavors for wraps and sandwiches! Rotisserie chicken sandwich with lemon pesto was wonderful, as well as the chicken ranch avocado wrap! The young lady who was working was very attentive and helpful in deciding our choices. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.
Update: This is my absolute favorite place to eat in Trinidad and I knew there was history in this place, but on my last visit I learned much more about this lovely place! I have attached pictures and I highly recommend stopping in for the food first and foremost, but if not, the history alone is worth the stop! I left out the picture of the bullet holes just to keep you wondering…
