Absolutely phenomenal experience. Owners were very friendly, as were the regulars of which there were many. Decor was incredible, really made the experience exciting. We had so much fun, and that was even before our meal arrived. Food was delicious, plentiful and cooked to perfection. Our server was delightful, sure made sure we had everything we needed. We’ve told so many of our friends about this place since our visit there, and we can’t wait to return. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Visited Newark for the DMV and was craving breakfast afterwards. Found this amazing gem with a great family atmosphere. They had their Halloween decorations up and those decorations made the experience 10x times better! Their food was a 10/10 I had their French toast Combo which was to die for! My boyfriend had a stomach filling omelette that was so cheesy and great! When you’re in Newark, don’t pass up on this place! Their food and service will make your day!

They put on a smile and friendly act when you first come in. But several visits in I ordered take out and they put all my food on aluminum foil. When I called back and ask them if they could remake it without putting it on aluminum foil because I wasn’t much in the mood for eating foil with my food. When we got home from picking up the replacement we find out they ripped us off and gave us a half inch of gravy per cup per item that called for gravy and they said all they do is 1 oz. So if you’re looking for rudeness and to get ripped off without getting food that you can actually eat and that comes correctly by all means go right ahead and eat there but I do not recommend it at all!

Big John’s continues to be a favorite place to go. The portions are very generous and the prices are low. Kim made sure that we always had drinks and that everything was to our satisfaction. The atmosphere was friendly and it seems like just a good old down home restaurant where everybody knows everybody. I will definitely go there again. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We waited almost 2 hours for our food had maybe 4 people in the restaurant. So not very busy for being Saturday The bill came to 45 and some change wasn’t really worth the wait the food wasn’t nothing I could have made myself!!!! My first time eating here will not be back
