Overall, this was a disappointing experience and not what I expected based on the positive reviews. I would rate the meal around a 3 out of 10.
The pork fried rice was extremely bland and had no real flavor, it mostly just tasted oily. The white rice was standard and fine, nothing notable. The sweet and sour chicken pieces were actually good and had a nice chicken flavor, which was one of the few positives. Unfortunately, the boneless barbecue ribs also lacked flavor and tasted old and dry.(barely any sauce)
The chicken and broccoli combo was especially disappointing. The container was almost entirely filled with the same flavorless pork fried rice, with only about seven pieces of broccoli and a few pieces of chicken. The chicken looked undercooked, slimy, and very pale, with little to no color. There was also barely any brown sauce in the container, which made the dish even more bland. The General Tso’s chicken combo was okay, but once again it was overwhelmed by the same tasteless rice.
I tried this place because of the good reviews, but it did not live up to the hype at all. We tossed most of it in the garbage. What a waste of $70. I won’t be returning.

The staff was polite, but not particularly attentive. I had to wait a long time to place my order.
Overall, the cafe is good for a quick and inexpensive bite, but don’t expect a sophisticated taste. If you’re looking for authentic Chinese cuisine, this isn’t your place. I probably won’t be returning. I’ll be looking elsewhere. Average rating.

This is the first time I had food from Ming’s, but so far very impressed. It was all well cooked, tasty, well seasoned and none of the fried stuff was greasy. I ordered Kung Pao shrimp and it was spicy! So often the menu indicates spicy, but it usually is bland – not this.

Best Chinese in the area. The food is so flavorful, always hot and delicious.

Ming’s on State Street Schenectady (be careful there are 2 other Mings in the area) is outstanding. This Chinese food is the best. You must bring CASH. They don’t accept any plastic, not even with a minimum order. I would deduct a star for that nuisance, but the food is really really good.

Almost exclusively a takeout business, although they do have some tables on premises, which is more than I can say for many Chinese places in the area post-pandemic. The sesame chicken isn’t quite as crunchy as you want it to be, the crab rangoons are very sweet, and I got some cabbage that looked past its prime, but the food is a good value for money overall, and they have lots of dishes with veggies in them, which I like. For pickup, they prefer you order by phone to avoid Doordash fees.

I ordered sweet and sour chicken, wonton soup, and sesame chicken. The sesame chicken I received was undercooked/pink. Please make sure to check your food if you eat from here! (Even though you really shouldn’t have to worry about something ridiculous like that when you’re a paying customer.) I’m lucky I saw that the chicken was uncooked because I’m pregnant. I ordered this food through Grubhub and the restaurant has it so you can’t leave any more reviews on the app, so they must have consistent food quality issues. Really disappointed and disgusted. I included a picture of the uncooked/pink sesame chicken.

Ordered Mongolian beef. Asked for no mushroom even though it’s not in description. However, it does say scallop (singular) which if I got one would have sufficed the description.bend result, beef with veggies not in description surrounded by mushrooms. Yes, zero scallops .. this place is not very good. Nice people but food is aweful. Wonton soup is water with wontons that are so over gingered

Whenever I move into a neighborhood, I have to find the best Pizza, the best Sushi and the best Chinese Food. Ming’s is where I go for my Chinese Food. I have found it to be one of the best in the area and the only place I go when I want Chinese Food. They offer primarily take-out, but there are some seats for dining in. Their food is always made fresh and hot when I arrive to pick it up, and it’s always delicious. Whether you want Lo Mein, Soup, or Fried Rice Dishes, or Beef and Chicken Dinners, Ming’s is one of the best places to get it.

The food was very good. I’ve never ordered from Ming’s before, and wanted to thank the owners for being open while many others were closed.
