Donna was absolutely lovely, but the food was only just okay. Ordered the warmed Classic Italian and fries (see pictures). Honestly, the meats on the sub were pretty good, but it still didn’t stand up to other sub places in town. And the fries were just meh. The meal filled me but still left me wanting more taste-wise.

I normally don’t write reviews and this location has always done a great job when the girl is cooking… the other guy, I ask for extra mayo, I hardly get any. After calling and letting them know, he told me I was wrong!
I also ordered the turkey avocado for my daughter and she wanted it without the avocado but still comes with lettuce and tomatoes.

Its been years since I’ve been to Penn Station. The taste and flavor of the sandwich is still good, the fry were a little over done for my taste.

The service staff was friendly and prompt. The restaurant appeared clean. There’s no reason to stay away for as long as I have…see you again, soon!

Enjoy.

I normally go to the S. Lindbergh location as it’s closer to me and they’ve always served me food hot.
For the price, why would they not?

I drove by twice around noon and the “Open” sign wasn’t on so assumed that they were closed. Ended up Googling this location tonsee the hours of operation. It shoes opem so I called.
Went in ordered my usual large Philly Chees steak, small fries, no drink.
The guy that took my order (Brotha) and made my food prepared my food as if it was a To-Go meal.
He seemed surprised when he handed me my food as I was sitting down.
I see why now, my sandwich was hot, my fries stale & cold. All threenofnthe back staff saw me place my palm on them and saw my disappointment.
I’d normally have them remake them. However, bybthe time they would have made them I’d had finished my sandwich.
Bodybuilding season so I was already irritated in the service.
I guess if he’d payed more attention to me sitting down he would have prepared fresh fries.

I will not be coming back to this location.

Wonderful staff and food the service of food was extremely quick. I went here with my mum and we both enjoyed it. I got pictures of the menu and of our subs if y’all are interested. I guess you could say I’m never going to Jimmy Johns or Subway again.

I’ve tried. I’ve truly tried with this location, because I love Penn Station, but every single time I’m there, there is a problem with my order. It’s always pure chaos and staff not communicating. Probably won’t be back.

Dined in for Cheese steaks, fries & lemonades tonite. Tasty, cheesy, crispy, tangy.. all boxes checked – so good! Crew cleaned & wiped down surfaces the entire time we were there – very diligent. Super friendly staff offered clean paper for our table when they brought our order. Another asked how our meal was. Super yummy cookie bites were an unexpected bonus. This crew is working so hard to survive during these crazy times, give them all the business you can!

Never Again! Cheese steak was bland and tough. To make matters worse, it was $22.15 for a sandwich, fries, and a drink.

Penn Station at Watson & Laclede Station has been very slow lately. I really love their subs and maybe they’ve been short staffed but today there were exactly 2 people working. Far below what should be standard as far as I’m concerned. **Edit on 10/13/19…This time there were 4 people staffed on a Sunday and I was third in line. No one else in the restaurant and I waited 17 min! This seems to be a management problem. Probably won’t be going back soon.

Their veggie sub (9″ on multigrain) was so filling, I had to take half home. Sandwiches are often less interesting texturally if you don’t eat lunchmeats, but the combination of freshly grilled mushrooms, onions, and peppers, along with provolone cheese, and the fresh veggies on top made the sub quite tasty. I got everything but teriyaki and oregano. The multigrain bread was perfect. Fries could have used more salt. The fresh-squeezed lemonade, their calling card, was good but not State Fair quality. Will definitely be returning to Penn Station East Coast Subs.
