My husband and I eat at Banh Lao frequently, we’ve never had a bad experience! Food is top notch, employees are so quick, nice, and friendly.
I went in for dinner tonight (Friday), an it was quite busy, the dining room was full, and there were lots of door dashers picking up orders… my food still came out timely, my water stayed full, and everyone that came by my table cleared a dish, or checked on me.
It was just a great experience and I wanted to share my appreciation of the excellent service!

Very cute quaint little restaurant. The Thai tea, Tom Yum soup, mango sticky rice, Thai beef salad and the drunken noodle all were delicious. Also have a lot of vegan options! The mango sticky rice is to die for!!! Delicious

Highly understated little spot for a pho or some Thai noodles. The pho was excellent, beef not stringy. The Thai noodle plates we tried were very well seasoned. Pepper steak was also a standout. Space is limited but its fairly cozy.

I paid $4 to add beef balls and essentially received 2 beef balls diced up into tiny portions and the brisket might as well have been ground beef. This is definitely not competitive with portions you receive at any Pho restaurants, what so ever…
Delivered without a take-out bowl for the soup.
Very disappointing. 2 stars for the attempt.
I wish the actual Pho restaurants in Cincinnati provided delivery through apps. This would not be happening if customers had delivery access to real Pho

We- 9 of us celebrated my mom’s birthday at Banh Lao last night and it was fantastic. I’ll start with the service, it was great. The staff made my mom feel special with playing her favorite songs, singing happy birthday, a dessert & kind words. The atmosphere was cozy and quaint. The food was delicious. We ordered a variety of dishes and everyone was pleased with their selection. Some highlights were the shrimp rolls & combination meat drunken noodles. I can’t wait to come back and try the dynamite chicken wings. I hear they’re good.
In the end it was a great night had by all!

What a hidden gem! I only had the chance to try the rice paper rolls this time, but I’ll definitely be back for more. The wings that passed by my table looked absolutely fire, and the beef pho looked just as incredible. We’re so lucky to have such an authentic spot near Cincy — it’s officially going into our regular rotation!

Cozy Lao / Thai restaurant in a strip mall. Nice spot for some toned down Lao dishes. The rice noodle with beef bone was really good.

Small 8-10 table restaurant but boy was the food fantastic! We started with the dynamite chicken wings which supposed to be the “best wings in Cincinnati “ per the waiter and I would have to agree. I got beef rib pho and hubby got curry. We ended with the mango sticky rice. Yummy taste but mango wasn’t ripe or plentiful. Just nitpicking. Will definitely come back. Probably the best pho in the area.

Ordered a take-out order for some Khao Piak Sen (Laos chicken noodle soup) and I couldn’t be more impressed. Not only was the dish phenomenal, it was packaged and prepared so thoughtfully! I’m gluten free and love a good soup when I’m sick, and I think I just found myself a new staple. Will definitely be ordering again and recommending that others do the same!

The service was very pleasant. They were friendly, and very nice. However, they seemed unorganized or not enough experiences or training.
We had several orders for lunch: Thai Fried Rice, Pad see ew, Fried springroll and potstickers. The only thing I really enjoyed was the Fried Rice, tasted great. The others were not so much. The pad see ew was too sweet even though we had it with medium spicy level. The springroll and potstickers should have been frieda little longer, to get the crispy brown skin/wrapping.
