42 dollars for 3 pasion fruit juices and a chicken sandwich. I ordered a chicken sandwich expecting a grilled chicken sandwich. I took it to go because I was in a rush with the kids and doing laundry. When I took the first bite I realized they gave a chicken salad sandwich.

Apparently they had 3 different options for the chicken sandwich but the waitress didn’t tell me and decided to do the one she like the most i guess.

The manager was nice, but the waitress told me that I had to take my food with me when I brought it back, basically telling me to take the food is didnt ordered with me on the way out.

It goes without saying that im never coming to this place and ill make sure to tell everyone I know not to go there either.

Again, 42 dollars for a chicken sandwich and 3 juices .

Upsate: Let’s clarify a few things, because your response is both defensive and misleading.
Yes, I was handed a menu and I ordered a chicken sandwich. The issue was never that I didn’t read the menu. The issue is that there were apparently three different ways the sandwich could be prepared, and at no point did your server ask me which one I wanted. In any professional restaurant, when a dish has multiple preparation options, the server asks the customer how they want it. That did not happen. Instead, a version was chosen without asking me.
So please don’t accuse me of “lying” or “difamando” your business when the reality is very simple: your server made an assumption instead of asking a basic question.
Also, I was very clear in my original review that the manager was polite and offered to replace the sandwich. I never criticized the manager. The problem was that by that point I was already in a rush with my children, including my 8-year-old autistic son and my 5-year-old daughter. Waiting for another sandwich to be prepared was not an option.
What actually made the situation worse was your waitress insisting that I had to take the food with me even though I didn’t want it. That interaction was unnecessary and unprofessional.
And now, instead of acknowledging a simple service mistake, you chose to publicly accuse a customer of lying and “defaming” your business. That response alone says a lot more about the professionalism of this establishment than my review ever could.
Customers leave reviews to describe their experience. Mine was not positive. If your reaction to feedback is to attack the customer rather than reflect on what went wrong, then unfortunately that only reinforces the impression that customer service is not a priority here.
I stand by my review.

This place is so culturally vibrant! I’ve never been to a Peruvian restaurant before and I decided to try this out considering that I’m visiting some Spanish friends of mine. They put me on here and it was so delicious! The lomo saltado dish was to actually die for.

We had the great pleasure to visit Chabelos last Saturday and let me tell you, we haven’t stop talking about not only the great food but the beautiful heart of the owners, Geraldine and Angelo. I had never tasted a dish called “Chancho al Cilindro” so Geraldine literally brought me into the kitchen and in the middle of a very busy day, she explained how they prepare this delicious dish – I believe they only serve this on weekends. Next, we tried the “Causa Envevichada” so incredible fresh and we finished with the most tender “Lomo Salatado” that was out of this world! Overall a wonderful experience can’t wait to go back.

Very nice staff (All Peruvians are awesome honestly) the food has an amazing taste, highly recommend the Chaufa and the Jalea Mixta.

I am used to traditional Chicha Morada made by hand and the one here is store brought so I recommend skipping that, everything else is amazing.

Breakfast was delicious! I had scrambled eggs with fresh warm bread and natural mango juice, my partner had a tasty Cuban sandwich, and my son had eggs with passion fruit juice, also very good. Excellent service, family-friendly atmosphere and generous portions. It’s a Peruvian restaurant, highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back!
