Jozu is the best Asian food in Monmouth County. If you’re looking for the perfect rice bowl, look no further. This place is great. It’s also fresh, amazing, and fast. As an avid foodie and traveler, we are lucky to have this concept available to us in our own backyard. The rice is cooked to perfection. Most places just place ingredients on top of mushy steamed rice and call it a bowl. JOZU composes it’s dishes to perfection. Every ingredient is flawlessly executed. Food was ok. Issue I had was the menu pricing on the wall was inaccurate. I got a Robatta bowl with beef. Robatta bowls were listed as $14 but I was charged $15. Questioned the employee about the pricing and they advised that the beef was $1 extra even though they didn’t have it listed as an extra charge. They advised that nobody had questioned the pricing before. It was more about principle to me at the point. I advise that they get updated pricing so it’s not misleading going forward.

nice people, ramen is good. I ordered original tonkotsu $11 + chashu (roasted pork) $3 =$14. I think what you get with that price is less than I expected.

The staff were super friendly and answered the questions I had about the ramen. The atmosphere is pretty cool. You can sit inside the area where all the food spots are or walk out to other locations.
The ramen, though, was my issue. The price to portion size compared to other ramen spots I’ve been to wasn’t the greatest.
I could look beyond the price, though, if there was flavor. I got the curry broth, and that had almost no flavor, in my opinion.
The egg and beef were okay. Had no complaints with them. Im not a mushroom eater, but they had flavor.
The noodles were not the greatest.
So overall, I’d say if the noodles and broth were better and the portion size for the price was a little better, I’d totally recommend it!
The food judgment is my opinion only, but you will definitely be able to relate to the excellent staff and the awesome location!

Really enjoyed the robata bowl. I got the shrimp one and thought the portion was really small. It tasted good but was overly saucy. Broccoli was delicious and cooked just right. I would definitely come back again

Love this place. Only come to this building on occasion for work but when I do I need the Ramen! Great friendly service and quick delicious food.

My food taste like garbage. I got a poke bowl with tuna, edamame, spicy mayo, kimchi, and brown rice. The kimchi wasn’t fresh at all it was discolored I’m scared to eat it because it looks like it’ll give me food poisoning. The tuna oh my gosh looks so artificial it looks like plastic watermelon. And I asked for brown rice and was given white. Really wish I never bought it. Listen to the reviews!

i really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately i didn’t 🙁 the service was fast, which was great, but i did not enjoy the food. i did not like the kimchi and the tuna did not taste fresh. i also did see one of the employees scratch their nose with their gloves while preparing food and didn’t change them/wash hands. i’m sorry, i wish i could have liked this place. thank you for listening.
