This was my first time dining here and my first impression of the place is …meh! I ordered the “Italian Beef” sandwich. It was nothing like what Italian Beef should be. Basically, just nearly dried up beef on a sub bun! That’s it!! Best part about all of it was the tea.

Very welcoming, clean, comfortable. Service was excellent. Josie is an excellent server. Food … Great! Liver, onions, baked potato and salad; cheese tortellini with red sauce/beef and cream of mushroom soup. Son isn’t a meat eater but he wiped that tortellini dish clean. Reasonable pricing. $32 for 2.

My son and I came here for breakfast before an appointment he had. The waitress was very nice and the food was good. I think it was neat that they have a tip jar at the checkout for if you would like to tip the cook! Will definitely return maybe to try lunch one day as well.

This was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time. Everything was cooked perfectly and the portion sizes were just right. The service we had was amazing. Am I drink never came empty. I will be coming back for sure.

It is just okay. Little expensive for the quality of the food. Might as well not even bother with the side salad if u expect anything other than lettuce and a couple pieces of shredded carrot. We got the mushrooms, mozz sticks, and onion rings appetizer. They all looked dark to like it’s fried in old oil. The Reuben sandwich is pretty decent. Burger was super salty. Overall it was very mediocre.

I would definitely never recommend this place to anybody. My granddaughter, and I went there friday night. I had the fish dinner, and she had fettuccini. I could only eat not even half my dinner. And she wouldn’t even touch hers after 3 bites. She said that the sauce on there was horrible or rotten tasting and my fish was grease filled and had a nasty taste to it.

We had a party of 5 tonight around 6:30 at The Old Y Diner (former Moonlight Y in Hillsboro) and I’m glad I called and reserved a table because they were packed. I had their garlic salad and it was amazing! The breading on the fried chicken was delicious. They did run out of baked potatoes but the fries and homemade mashed potatoes were very tasty. We each had a different homemade cheesecake and they were all very good (they have like 9 different flavors to choose from). We’ll definitely be back to try their breakfast menu. Our waitress was very attentive and their freshly brewed ice tea hit the spot. Everyone that was working was busting their butts and very nice and friendly. I’m going to give them a 9/10 for dinner tonight (only because I wanted a baked potato lol)! Glad to have another restaurant in the area with homemade food. Always support your local family owned businesses!!
