We saw this place on Facebook and since we were in the area we came for the “all you can eat tacos” (AYCE Tacos). We had the first tier $13.99 per person and we tried all 5 options, the mushroom and the asada were my favorite as well as their green salsa! The chorizo was definitely not a hit, we didn’t care for it. I tried the “sucia horchata” which is cold brew coffee and horchata mixed, I definitely recommend it! Their menu consists of many other items; like alambres and their well famous machetes which we didn’t try. The overall vibe is good, it’s a small place and only one restroom.

Solid spot for AYCE tacos. I do think it was overhyped by social media people. Quality seems to be here and there over time. Came we my bro yesterday for their Tuesday/Thursday AYCE tacos (only two days it is available). We glady went with the premium menu at $19 bucks. Pretty worth it, you get three rounds eat as much as you want the first and/or second round as the one cook they have does take a while to make the foods in between orders. The $13 meats were definitely not that good, the asada and pastor was strangely dry.

This place has good food. I would definitely return to this spot. The staff was friendly and attentive. This spot isn’t very big, you probably can seat 25. You get what you pay for here, for sure. With that said, it is a bit pricey. The machete is as long as my arm. That thing can feed two for sure, maybe 3. The surf and turf tacos are good, and the portions are just right. 2 medium shrimp per taco. I’ll add the pictures of what we got. Our party consisted of 4 adults, so 4 dishes 2 appetizers and 2 fountain drinks and 2 aguas frescas. Refills included. Only two cons; # 1, they don’t serve alcohol beverages, and # 2 at the time of my visit. They only accepted cash or Zelle. No credit cards. Maybe the system was down, who knows. So the damage for 4 adults (not including tip) rounding up came out to be $150.00.
The only items I didn’t capture were the carnitas nachos and the drinks. Also, pics show 2 different machetes. It’s not the same one.

We came here for the AYCE Tacos. They were ok, but I wouldn’t do it again. At $14 total, I was able to eat 14 tacos, making each taco $1. But I didn’t really think the tacos were that good. The asada was bland. The chorizo and al pastor were decent. The herb mushroom one was surprisingly better than I thought it was gonna be. And the chicken one was kinda tough. I did think the horchata was good though – it was very sweet and cinnamon-y.
The service was kinda weird. The tacos take a while to come out, which I wouldn’t have minded if the tacos were yummy, but they weren’t yummy enough to warrant that wait. Especially for an AYCE service, that lull while you’re waiting on your tacos makes you feel full. It’s almost like they want you to get too full and not finish your tacos because they’ll charge you $2 for each one you don’t finish. One of our friends took a while to finish his tacos because he was obviously full and our server kept coming over and asking if he wanted to tap out. He came 4 times seeing if my friend was gonna give up, like chill and let him finish. Made the vibe feel a little sleazy and predatory.

Didn’t even get a chance to eat because the staff claimed we could not share a bottled drink that they pushed us to purchase from them. They said they didn’t have any water or drinks with refills. All they had was their higher priced drinks or bottled soda. All they were trying to do was push us to spend more money. The owner needs to step up. What kind of sit down restaurant doesn’t have water.

All-you-can-eat tacos for $13.99 isn’t bad if you have a big appetite. So far, I’ve been able to eat eight. You get three rounds; each round you can get as many tacos as you please. I would highly recommend paying the extra $2 for single tortillas if you’re looking for more protein. Any leftover tacos will be a $2 charge, so eat up!

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Fuego Maiz does AYCE tacos for $13 or $18/person depending on which tier you get. The $13/person menu includes asada, pastor, chicken, chorizo, and herb mushroom tacos. And the $18/person menu includes the regular proteins plus ranchera, carnitas, garlic butter shrimp, chicken tinga, and huitlacoche.
I tried the $18/person option and recommend the following proteins: chicken, chorizo, ranchera, garlic butter shrimp, and chicken tinga. The tacos run smaller so you can try most of them. You are allowed 3 rounds of orders for the AYCE menu.
Service was a little slow because there was only one server taking orders and getting tacos out to all of the tables. Overall, I thought the quality was just average. It might have just been a byproduct of it being busy during AYCE Tuesdays and Thursdays. They have a lot of other options on the menu – might have to try those next time!

My waiter was amazing but don’t go here if your stomach is sensitive in the slightest. The tacos made me feel nauseous, heavy, just gross like I’m going to throw up. My boyfriend felt the exact same! The asada tasted cheap and cut too thin and the chicken was all fat and too dry.

Hands down would recommend everyone coming to this restaurant.
You won’t regret it. Put it this way, if you don’t come, it’s your loss. Thank you to the host and the chef. Everything was amazing bro. Gracias!
