Yummmmy! We wanted to give it a try since it’s so close to us in Murphy.
Had the brisket, ribs, jalapeño sausages, regular sausages, baked beans, potato salad and Mac and cheese.
We ordered for them to deliver and it got here in about 25 mins.
Food was nearly packed and they gave us a huge tube of bbq sauce. The brisket was great and ribs were good but my favorites were the sausages; especially the jalapeño ones! My kids 8 and 11 went crazy over the Mac and cheese and I loved the potato salad! My husband couldn’t get enough of the baked beans (it tasted like a salsa bean mix).
Overall, we loved and and look forward to having more from here!

Totally exceeded my expectations when we ordered pickup catering for 22 people for my Dads birthday. The brisket and pulled pork were delicious. As well as the sides. What surprised me was how well they set us up. They provided everything we needed. Plates, cups, silverware, napkins, bread and all the serving utensils too. They even sent us with a big bucket of ice for the tea! They were so nice, they all wished my Dad a happy 81st and then 4 of them carried everything out to the truck. Great food and staff at this location.

Excellent customer service. I was disappointed in the briskets lack of smoke. Tasted like it was smoked for a couple hours, then baked till tender. The ribs were tender, but dry. Sides were pretty good, still lacked seasoning. Creamed corn was excellent, as were the desserts. Prices were reasonable.

The initial hype with this new location has finally died down and lines aren’t out the door any longer. Our family tried soulman’s once for takeout. Great employees that were very sociable. The food was well prices for the portions. Good BBQ for the price too. You can get “better” BBQ but you are going to pay more for it usually. We’ll done in next time so we can enjoy some free soft serve ice cream with our food.

Tried this place for the 1st time ever and had my mouth ready for some good ole BBQ. The lady was nice even though I didn’t get what I asked for. Recieved a rib only plate but asked for 2 meats. The mashed potato salad was a bit salty and I simply didn’t like that type of beans, was hoping for baked beans. Maybe it’s a, “Monday” thing and I need to go close to the weekend when everything is probably more fresh.

I wasn’t a huge fan of their pulled pork to be honest. I’m from the Northeast and I’ve had better up there, which was a bit disappointing. The staff however was very friendly and engaging. What I did really enjoy were the spicy potatoes, I would definitely recommend getting them as a side.

The store is like most BBQ chains. What sets this location apart from the others is their staff. We go there at least once a week and I have never run into an employee that’s having a bad day or having attitude. Staff is outstanding friendly and it at times humorous. Restaurant is kept very clean restrooms very clean and food is always hot and outstanding.

Very disappointed in this location. I love Soulman’s other locations, but this location is lacking something. Like most BBQ places you get your tray, order your meat and push your tray down the line to get your veggies, pay and get your drinks. I had the ribs. Extremely dry, had to gnaw meat off the bone. Wife got sliced beef, said it was dry, not much taste, but liked her sides. With that being said, I would probably skip this location and drive a few more miles and get someone else’s BBQ.

Expect the usual assortment of BBQ meats – whole chicken pieces, brisket, ribs, sausages, turkey, and ham – all served freshly sliced or on top of a giant potato.
Sauce was good, only coming in one variety. No spicy or sweet versions here.
Sides were also standard, with the exception of their Texas beans and fried cabbage. Maybe these represent “healthier options” ? 😉
And of course, free ice cream if you can find room.
