Just incredible! Went in for vegan donuts and had to exercise all of my willpower to not buy all of the other scrumptious goodies. I got a dozen of the 3 flavors; Almond Joy, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and the Homer Simpson, wow! So much variety, several vegan options (cakes, bread pudding, scones…), and samples to boot. The friendliest staff and owner. I will be glad to go back!

If you’ve yet to try this absolutely splendid bake shoppe, the change in seasons should prompt you to do so. Everything I have tried at this bake shoppe has been 10/10. The service and atmosphere is also a delight. As a Columbia resident, this bake shoppe has become a bi-weekly treat that I always look forward to. The Toasted Almond cake is exceptional!! And every gluten free and vegan item has tasted “too good to be true” but rest assured, from start to finish, the staff at AppleCore is very intentional in all they do! Including managing “cross contamination” for those with serious sensitivities.

I had a great experience…good amount of plant based desserts. I had a vegan cheesecake and vegan ice cream…so so good.
The only con: small spot with no inside seating or outside seating.

I have a gluten intolerance and have immense trouble finding good gluten-free dessert alternatives that aren’t plain or chocolate chip. If you know, you know.
I purchased the GF pineapple upside down cake and the GF/VG Apple Chai Cheesecake.
Upon the first bite of the cake, immediate tears welled in my eyes. This has been one of my favorite cakes since childhood and I have never found a bakery that makes a GF version of it. It is so hard to be forced to recreate (testing and failing and trying again) your favorite foods due to food allergies and sensitivities. Thank you so much for what you do Applecore Bakery!!
And the apple chai CHEESECAKE!!! MA’AM!!
I had half a mind to spin the block just to give my compliments to the owner in person! lol!! I’m praying for your continually abundant success and exposure to bigger and better customer pools and corporate opportunities! Your desserts are PHENOMENAL!! Thank you so much for all that you do!!

AppleCore’s Bake Shoppe is a gem! Their vegan desserts are amazing — I’ve had the vegan sweet potato cake and the vegan orange cranberry ginger cake. As well as the lemon, and toasted sliced almond cakes, and every one was delicious. My son loved the Santa’s Trash Cookies during the holidays, and I always look forward to their Saturday vegan donuts. The service is warm and welcoming, and the rewards program is a great bonus. Highly recommend!

I needed a cake for my daughter going off to college and Aisha and team were able to pull off the masterpiece you see in the pic. They are extremely helpful, welcoming, and friendly. The gluten-free cake we ordered was delicious and moist. My daughter really liked her cake which makes it all worth it. I will definitely order from Apple Core’s in the future.

We got the Vegan Lemon Raspberry Pound Cake for my wife’s birthday. She normally does not prefer this kind of cake, but she recently had to go dairy and soy free, and this was one of the only options in the Howard County area. My wife, and the rest of us were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. We ate it over a whole week, and it was just as good on the last day as one the first. (We just left it in the box for the first three days, and on the third day, it was starting to dry out. We then moved the last few slices into an air-tight container in the refrigerator. We covered the refrigerated slices with wet paper towels and heated them up in the microwave and they came out plenty moist. And I personally thought it was nice served warm.)

It’s only been one day and I’m already planning ahead for my next cake order from AppleCore’s Bake Shoppe. I had seen good reviews for their gluten-free cakes and ordered one for a retirement party, and it was a huge hit!
All the guests commented on how delicious both the cake and icing were, amazed it was gluten-free, and one particularly picky friend even went back for seconds. The guest of honor was thrilled to get his favorite cake (red velvet) gluten-free so he could enjoy it alongside his guests.
Ordering and arranging a pickup time was easy, which I appreciated as a solo event planner. Thank you so much, Aisha, for pulling this together on relatively short notice, decorating and packing it so beautifully, and even including a plastic cake server! Count us in as repeat customers.
