With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

Coffee was good. But the lids for the cups! For the love of God please fix the lids from popping off so easily. Every time you touch the cup the lid flys off. Its the most annoying thing ever. Especially the risk of spilling it in your ride.

I have to drink alternative milks and one of my favorites is macadamia nut milk. They make the best lattes with macadamia nut milk. It doesn’t matter what size large, small, medium and the employees are so kind and gracious and seem to like their jobs. I love that you can get rewards and they just scan your phone so simple. Chocolate covered espresso beans on top of your latte that’s one of the best toppings if you ask me

I’m writing this review with a sour taste in my mouth (literally). I have frequented The Human Bean since moving to Vancouver earlier this year.
I’ve had some sporadic food quality issues but overall it’s been good. I went to this location and grabbed drinks with a breakfast sandwich. I made it through most of the sandwich before taking a bite that tasted like it had been soaked with perfume. Leaving my wife bewildered as to why I was gagging. She could also smell the perfume in the sandwich.
To avoid future problems, I’ll turn to other coffee shops.

This is my go-to chain coffee shop. The prices are better than other chain pricing, service is always friendly and fast. My drink is always exactly as ordered. The food options are pretty exceptionally tasty as well. Excellent option for your coffee needs!

I had a non-dairy butterscotch latte made with hemp milk today, and it was truly one of the smoothest, perfectly sweet, creamy lattes I’ve ever had. The coffee is not sour or too dark. It’s nutty and perfect.
I REALLY hope they will be adding a fully vegan breakfast bagel/sandwich on the menu soon. Dev’s coffee, Seize the Bagel, and Peet’s Tea already have one, but I think The Human Bean would make a much better one for us on the plant based diet. <3

Super friendly staff. They ensure your order is perfect like being in a great coffee house where the coffee matters more than any other ingredient. Love the quality of the coffee hands down best coffee! Next time you want coffee be a human being and go to human bean and you won’t regret it .

Used to be the greatest coffee shop around. I had been going in to the Human Bean for almost 9 years. I went out of my way to make sure that they got my business on a average of six times a week during that time. I constantly shared their posts on fb. Not anymore. The quality of product and service has declined greatly.
