Proof Bread is a modern throwback to a way of life rooted in craftsmanship, community, and creativity. What began a decade ago in a garage has grown into a thriving bakery inside a historic building, now a hub for connection and nourishment. At its heart is Harriet, our beloved sourdough starter, the living thread that ties us to centuries of tradition. Every loaf is shaped by hand with the finest local ingredients—no shortcuts, no artificial processes, nothing unnecessary. With each bake, we honor 13,000 years of breadmaking heritage, offering our community food that is wholesome, meaningful, and truly exceptional.

I remember when this place was still Hope’s
Also have loved this store. Staff yesterday were super friendly and very helpful.
We purchased a loaf of bread and cinnamon roll.
The pizza looked yummy. Don’t miss the lunch special pizza, drink and a cookie.
Interaction this morning was a little disappointing

I only found out about Proof while I was at a market. I don’t know why they don’t mention in their description that they use organic flour. They happen to have the ingredients listed on the labels, which is what drew me to buying and trying them, but in searching for organic places on google maps they didnt come up. I have had their croissant braid with thyme and their pizzas and we Love them! I love that it’s a sourdough process, organic flour, and delicious pizza. I havent tried anything else since discovering them, yet.

The cookies here are worth the calories! Honestly, their cookies was one of if not the best cookie I’ve ever had in my life! The pizza is okay but if fresh instead of reheated would probably be off the charts! Their bread is phenomenal too!

Everything I’ve tried here has been amazing! The sourdough bread is wonderfully baked and the pastries are fantastic! Their croissants are so flaky and their English muffins have a delicious chewy texture. Would highly recommend for all your sourdough needs.

Im gluten intolerant. Because its sourdough and ancient wheat grain..I have no issues! The only issue is that I live about 25 minutes away and hope a store opens up closer to me. Delicious all around. This establishment is for me, will be one of those memorable bakeries for years to come. A true gem! My favorite products is the Khorasan Boule and the almond croissants! I also love their pizza squares! I just have yo get 20,000 steps in afterwards!

Proof Artisan Bread, where carbs are a religion and I am a devout follower. That Pain Au Chocolat though, it’s the holy grail of pastries. And, don’t even get me started on their cheddar jalapeno sourdough, it’s the epitome of perfection. Oh, and their vanilla latte? Heaven in a cup. While they do sell some coffee options are limited. Do not come with expectations this is a coffee shop in any way. The MVP is the bread here. If you come hungry they have a great lunch option of their sourdough pizza, a drink and a chocolate cookie…which by the way is amazing! I do recommend taking it to go as there is very limited seating. Service was great, vibrant chill, but parking can be a bit rough depending on time of day.

Have been going here for a few months now and I’m never disappointed! All their products are made with fresh, quality ingredients, and the staff is always so welcoming!
They use fresh ingredients, so keep in mind, this bread will usually start to mold within a week, but it’s so delicious, it doesn’t last that long in my house. $12-14 per loaf is outrageous to some, but when you take the ingredients and labor into account, it’s a steal compared to the preservative filled $4 loaf at the store.

Oh Wow. I ordered the apple pie for Thanksgiving and it is the best apple pie I’ve ever had. I’m not one for real sweet and this was perfect. You can tell it’s made with very good quality ingredients and lots of love. I was wondering if this will be made for Christmas also or it’s just during Thanksgiving. My husband wanted me to tell you not to change a thing.

Very over priced! I have never paid 10.50 for a croissant any where in the world and it was just average. The sourdough bread is just ok. So disappointed in this establishment. Not a cozy environment or setting to meet a friend for coffee and a treat. I would nto return.

Excellent, tasty bread and all sorts of baked/bread products. So why only 4 stars? They are victims of their own success. They open at 7 am and they often sell out of the popular products by 10 am. But it’s a bakery first and foremost, so I understand that freshness is #1. Get the salted, twisted rosemary bread. Convenient single serving size that freezes great. Pop one in the micro, get a cuppa, and it’s my favorite start of the day.
