Pearl’s Place is a good place for dining with a good menu and bar. We had the meat platter, 2 and 3 meats selected each with sides. It was excellent. All meats were cooked just right, ribs, brisket, and sausage. My wife left off the sausage and in hindsight I should have, too. Very filling.

We had a wonderful anniversary celebration on Sunday at Pearl’s. Our server Betty was exceptional and made our dinning experience one to remember. The food was excellent, the meat was cooked to perfection with a wonderful smoked flavor along with the collard greens and mashed potatoes. We will be back.

Cannot believe how incredible the food was – we were not expecting to have some of the best BBQ of our lives here in Manchester, Vermont! The staff was lovely and attentive, playlist was perfect, and the atmosphere was cozy.

Very good Southern food in a northern atmosphere. Did brisket melt and was really good. Fries are next level. Staff is super friendly knowledge and helpful. Inside is nicely decorated and very clean. Outside dining is great experience when weather permits.

We had a fantastic meal here which was made all the more enjoyable by our server, Betty, who was genuinely charming and delightful – without doubt the warmest and friendliest waitress we’ve had in a two week road trip around New England.

The food was delicious – excellent chicken wings followed by a BBQ platter of beef brisket and ribs. These were also great with a really nice level of smoke on the meats.

We had no room for dessert as we were stuffed but there was a good choice of appealing dishes.

There was also a great range of bourbon on the menu which I would have loved to have tried if I wasn’t the designated driver for the night.

All in all, highly recommended and we would happily return.

We usually go Zoey’s double hex but it was closed on Tuesdays so we decided to stop and try out pearls. I walked in said table to 2 please they asked if I had a reservation and I replied no. They then told us we cannot accommodate you we are full.

Before we walked she said you can sit at the bar. We sat at the empty bar and ordered. We had to ask again for our drinks I think the bar tender forgot. The soup was cold and tasted gross; tasted like cleaner. (I have had potato leek soups many times)

They took it off we got our food it was all very tasty. We did enjoy the food the staff was pleasant. Will stop back in again.

Horrible service and cold food. Went here Sunday, Dec. 28, 2025 before our two hour ride home after skiing, and arrived 5 minutes early for a pre-booked 7:30 reservation. The restaurant appeared to be only about 60% full. Several tables were open, but we were made to wait. Others came in and were seated right away, but not us. Apparently they were recognized, or knew the staff. Our wait was not just a few minutes either, but over 20 minutes. The hostess “Malia” just kept looking at her “seating chart” with a confused look. Then, at ten mins to eight, they finally brought us way into the very back of the restaurant and put us in a corner behind two big tables of customers. After more waiting, the waitress finally appeared. We skipped ordering appetizers due to the already long wait, but the meals we ordered still took over forty-five minutes to come out. Our waitress, who was very nice, kept apologizing, saying “the food should be out soon.” When it finally did come, almost everything was cold. The mashed potatoes were so cold the butter wouldn’t melt on them. We didn’t stay for coffee and dessert either. The only part they did correctly was taking the money. What a poorly run establishment. Everyone working there was a teenager which is fine, but nobody was managing them. I looked at thier other poor reviews and apparently slow service and bad employee attitudes are common. We will never go again.

We recently visited Pearl’s Place & Pantry and were very pleased. It’s a must-visit spot if you’re in the area. We ordered the fried mac and cheese, which was excellent, and the cabbage steak, beautifully presented with a wonderful chimichurri and pepper oil combination. The flavors were well-balanced, though I’d suggest cooking the cabbage a bit more for enhanced flavor and easier eating. The stuffed jalapeño peppers were fantastic, and the fried chicken with sweet potato glazed with maple syrup was a highlight, especially paired with spinach. The spinach was slightly overcooked; a touch of lemon zest or garlic could have made it more vibrant and creamy. Our server, whose name I unfortunately forgot, provided stellar service. The atmosphere was clean, cozy, and family-friendly. We left very satisfied and highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Four of us dined at Pearl’s Place Pantry on a Monday evening with a 6:30 reservation, which included a small child. Unfortunately, the experience was less than ideal, as we did not receive our food until well after 8:05 PM. While the food itself was generally decent, the long wait was challenging, especially with a young child in tow. Server wouldn’t bring a second plate of cornbread fingers. Ribs were the tiniest we’ve ever seen!

The lack of communication from the restaurant staff was disappointing, particularly when we saw EMS, an ambulance, and police arriving as we were leaving around 9 PM. We later learned there had been a medical emergency with the chef, which, while understandable, was never mentioned to the customers that evening.

However, I must commend their customer service follow-up. A few days later, we were contacted and offered a complete redo of our dining experience along with a gift card, which was a nice gesture. We appreciate their effort to make things right and will definitely be back to give them another try and revise this review rating.

In summary, while the evening didn’t go as planned, their excellent customer service has earned them another chance in our book. Here’s hoping for a smoother experience next time!

We loved our experience here! My partner mentioned in the reservation that it was our anniversary, and the staff went above and beyond. They congratulated us as soon as we were seated and even surprised us with flowers at our table, which they also wrapped for us to take home after our meal!

Beyond the super thoughtful service, the food and drinks were also great! We loved the corn fritter starters, the chocolate old fashioned, and the gumbo in particular. Every dish was delicious, but the hospitality made the night truly special.
