This is my second time visiting an Egg Harbor Cafe location. The first was about 15 years ago in Lake Geneva. The second location was in Orland Park. I must say the experience in Lake Geneva was better.
We visited the Orland Park location on a Wednesday around 10am and it was pretty crowded, and the service was ridiculously slow. Although our server was nice, he was waiting on multiple tables, more than normal. I’m guessing that either some staff called off, or they are always short during the week.
Let’s get to the food. I had a Strawberry Crunch French Toast. The concept was good, but it really needed some fresh strawberry syrup instead of the maple syrup that was served to me. I got a side of hashbrowns, which ended up being home fries, which I’m not a fan of. I prefer actual hashbrowns or smothered potatoes.
The hubby had the create your own omelette with maple bourbon bacon, chicken and spinach. He enjoyed that, but also wasn’t a fan of the home fries.
Now, I actually came for the apple cider mimosa. The champagne overpowered the apple cider flavor, but it was a nice try.

Our first time visiting and it was wonderful! Our waiter Sydney was a pleasure, super sweet and very knowledgeable. Understanding and accommodating of my food allergies.
The food was generously portioned and coffees were phenomenal!
New staple for sure!

Sunday after mass a fifteen minute wait was reasonable and communicated. Once we were seated Christian was our server and he was pleasant and prompt. Across all their locations the food is always delicious. I had a skillet and it was the best skillet I have had in a long time. Their Harbor potatoes are crispy and absolute perfection.

We went on Saturday, and it was packed. They put us on waiting list and said that they are going to text us when they have a table. We waited for 10–15 minutes outside and they went in to check. They said that they texted us but we never got the mesage. The food was worth it and I loved the variety on their menu. The service was excellent, and npw this is one of my favorite breakfast spots.

Went out to brunch with my friends this afternoon! It was packed when we first got there but it was worth the wait! The food was amazing! I had the pumpkin pancakes and they were delicious! The cinnamon butter added to the pancakes made it even better!!! I also loved the matcha latte too.Our server Marvin was very nice and gave great service. They have a lot of food options that I would love to try, so I will be back!

We visited Orland Park, IL last month and found this amazing place for breakfast. It was a Monday and was quite packed, which tells me is a good restaurant. They have an long menu of gluten free options, just ask for it. It’s a very clean place. The food is fresh, delicious and healthy. Our waitress, Esbeydy, was very friendly, we even had a short chitchat. We were very pleased with their service and variety and quality of food. Strongly recommend!

Enjoyed my experience here! The restaurant was clean, service was great, and food was good. Our server, Jillian was very friendly and attentive and was always 2 steps ahead of us. Would come back just for her! I loved the options from the barista drinks. The food was solid! I really enjoyed my skillet and the fruit was so fresh. I didn’t love the avocado toast, but it’s hard for me to find a place that makes a really good one the way that I enjoy it. Everything else was great though and we enjoyed our food & drinks.

Food is good and has good flavor, but the portions are small and everything is an add-on for an additional price. My parents had coffee and said it was good. I had their hot London fog tea and it was watered down. My dad ordered a skillet with bacon, peppers, mushrooms and sausage and they barely gave him any bacon and we didn’t even see a piece of sausage just peppers, some mushrooms and tons of potatoes. They were skimpy on the egg. It was mostly potatoes and peppers. My daughter ordered Nutella crepes and they barely had any Nutella. I feel like they skimp on the food. Plenty of other restaurants in the area with better portions. I don’t think we will be coming back. Their service is good. Our waiter was awesome. I’m just disappointed that they are trying to save money by skimping on the portions.

Editing after visiting a couple more times. I LOVE this place! The service is always wonderful, and the food is SO good! Today’s meal was my favorite so far, and I think I just found my regular order. The breakfast burrito is amazing! As a vegetarian, I ordered it without the chorizo, and it exceeded my expectations.
I also had a pumpkin spice chai (sub milk for oat milk), and it was hands-down the best pumpkin chai that I have ever had! I love how they are aren’t afraid of a good, spicy chai. I’m still dreaming about it!

Sydney, our server, was exceptional, making the experience all the more enjoyable. The support team, from the hostess to everyone keeping this well-oiled machine running smoothly, truly shined. As always, the food was phenomenal—delicious and satisfying. We appreciated the ample parking, no waiting time, and comfortable seating. This place is my father’s favorite breakfast spot, and we make it a tradition to visit every year on his birthday—today, he turns 83! Typically, we’ve gone to the Naperville location since my sister lives nearby, but we’re thrilled this new spot is just five minutes from my parents’ home. Thank you for providing a memorable birthday breakfast for my father!
