Marley comin’ in clutch with the suggestion. A friend of mine recommended this place as well as all the bloggers out there… they ain’t wrong. This place reminded me of a DELICIOUS diner out in Denver, Colorado. Definitely a place to hit up in gulf shores. That avocado burger was dank, and that chocolate milkshake was oh so good!

The vibes of this place are immaculate for sure. Old school 1950s-style diner, all vintaged out. It is a really awesome place to bring a family/friends just to experience it.

However, the food really brought this restaurant down a couple notches. We ordered a bunch of different types of dishes: eggs Benedict, burgers, Reubens, shrimp, all coming to the same conclusion: decent at best.

Everything seemed not only to lack flavor, but quality ingredients. It’s sad that it didn’t live up to the personality of the restaurant. Life goes on!

Bonnie was great! We stopped in during a super busy time and she was kind, knowledgeable of the menu & selections, and very attentive. Food was good, not amazing but it is good. Love the southern style options.

Loved the retro vibe of this diner — the interior and menu are beautifully set up to bring back the charm of the 50s and 60s. Our kids absolutely enjoyed the pancakes and waffles, while we loved the Shrimp Benedict (it was delicious!) and the avocado toast. The staff were friendly, and our waiter, Mr. Tavarius, was amazing and made the experience even better. Highly recommend for a fun, family-friendly breakfast spot!

The staff was very friendly, even asking us if we wanted to sit in the car they had converted into a booth.
Our waiter asked if we wanted our picture taken and we said yes. The food was excellent and our waiter was very attentive to our needs.

Got breakfast here on the last day of our trip, and it was great. Bonnie was our server and she took incredible care of us! The atmosphere is quite lively w/ music, and many servers hustling and bustling around, I found it quite charming! There’s 50s trivia on the menu which is an easy way to stay entertained & prompt conversation while waiting for food.

I am pescatarian and there are pes & vegetarian options available. My guess is they can modify to make dishes gluten-free as well, though I didn’t ask to confirm.

As far as the food goes, I got the Shrimp Benedict which was rich, creamy, and delicious. The eggs were poached to perfection and the shrimp were not overcooked at all. My partner got a Garden Omelette which she said was great, and my mother got the Classic Breakfast and ate every single bite. She said the grits were perfectly cooked as well. We all got coffee which we enjoyed, not too bitter, too weak, or too strong! Great cup 🙂

Would recommend this place. The staff we interacted with were very pleasant. Once again, Bonnie did great!

Our first time at Sunliner Diner and although Alek has only been here a week, he took excellent care of us. His recommendations were delicious. 5-stars for Alek! The food was great and the restaurant is so cute and fun. Great first visit!

Such a fun spot to eat. The servers were all so friendly, helpful, and amazing. Natisha was our server, and she was fantastic. The atmosphere is great. I had the chicken and waffles Benedict and husband had the Dream Boat (this one was a massive portion). Definitely recommend for breakfast food. We didn’t order any lunch or dinner foods, so can’t comment on that.

Absolutely love this place! My husband and i were visiting Gulf Shores for our anniversary and went there for dinner. We loved it so much we went back for breakfast the next morning! The food is not only delicious, they give you more than you can eat in one sitting. The employees are friendly and attentive, and I love that they dress the part. The 50s themed diner atmosphere is fantastic. I highly recommend giving them a try! You won’t regret it!
