We come here frequently and never had issues until today when the owner scolded my daughter and humiliated her in front of other customers for the way she ordered nachos! Treat your customers better!

Went to the drive thru ordered breakfast the portions were were generous☺ The tortillas were fluffy and delicious☺ The refried beans were vere good, they had a authentic home made taste to them. The red sause and green sause were both very good my only regret is i wish i had not waited 30 min before eating my tacos.

They brought out our plates and they had burnt beans on both plates. I asked for more beans and they brought out more beans and then we went to pay and they had charged us for the beans they brought out even though we didn’t eat the burnt beans. I brought it up to the owner and he said that’s your opinion. I will never eat here again. The service is absolutely great but the owner is very rude and is not professional at all. As an owner you should try to make sure your customers are happy.

The food was really good. The tea superb. The waitress amazing. The chips were great! Only downfall was we ordered charro beans and there were no beans. Maybe 4. Then, we ordered grilled jalapeno and got seranos instead. Just not the same flavor.

This Mexican restaurant is kind of a little dive or hole in the wall but the food is very good. I usually order the sampler platter and it is all very good. The wait in the drive they line takes a while but that’s because they prepare it right as you wait. It’s worth the extra time. The only other complaint I have is on the refried beans. Sometimes they are kind of dried out and/or too salty.

Update: we got takeout again and the food tasted so bland. The hamburger in the tacos wasn’t seasoned at all. It was strange that the Mexican rice had mixed vegetables in it (besides carrots and peas, there were Lima beans, green beans, corn and potatoes!?). I guess it depends on the cook working because usually the food is very good.

The food was great and price wise is about mid range but I waited 45 minutes in the drive thru for A (1) taco. I tried to call ahead to order, nobody ever answers the phone! There were three cars ahead of me when I pulled up. When I got to the window it took 5 minutes for someone to even come and take my order. For that reason I won’t be going back anytime soon.

This is a small family owned business. The tacos here are made with love, and the tortillas are to die, for I suggest you come by here and try it out. Just if you get to order some tortillas, it would be well worth the trip.

Food was good but was disappointed with the service. When I went to pay, the bill was much higher than I expected. Turns out they charge $3 more per plate than what’s listed on the menu. There was no posted notice of the change in price and the server didn’t let us know beforehand. The crooked owner just said everyone in town knows their prices went up years ago. Needless to say, he was quite rude about it and refused to honor the menu prices. It was not worth the drive from Mathis. Just go to Corpus for better Mexican food and service.
