El Patron is my staple lunch and dinner spot in Montezuma. I go here more than anywhere else in town. Their food is a good value for the money and the service is very friendly. The best thing I’ve had there so far is the molcajete. I also really like the huevos mexicanos, fajitas, carne asada, alambres… It’s nice to have great Mexican food in MZ.
They also have a couple things that are not printed in their menu. Ask about the fire tacos and the chimi cheesecake.

My family found our new favorite restaurant! Service was excellent! Best lime margarita I’ve ever had and all 5 of us were very pleased with our food. Great service, great flavor, fresh ingredients, good portion sizes and a 98 on their health inspection!! You can’t beat El Patron!

Had the mixed fajitas for one, and the serving size was enough for two. Chips and salsa were fresh! …and, cold beer! Real. Cold. And, served w/ an iced mug!! …and, to top it off, great service!!! They make you feel like family. I’ll stop in again for sure!!!

Food was good. I ordered a margarita that tasted horrible like it was all mix, then when we told the waiter he got rude and said we were still going to have to pay for it. I let the lady know when we left and informed her this was our first and last time visiting their restaurant. Even the chips were burnt.

This is an unbiased opinion. Not sure if the tamales are fresh. They definitely taste frozen. The beans and rice were very much salty as were the tamales y Mexican tacos I ordered as well. I feel the to-go packaging needs some work. With love Darnisha
