I’m torn…
I had a great meal here the other day. I ordered the Daddy’s Catch and every part of it was amazing.
However, the customer service wasn’t just bad, it was absent. I was ignored for 25 minutes until my order was taken. I saw three groups of people give up while waiting and leave – I saw it twice at the table next to me. Then the food took a long while. I’m normally OK with this, but they weren’t very busy at all. And then I had to wait 30 minutes for my check. Every time I tried to wave my server down, nothing. I wasn’t just forgotten, I was ignored.
And the men’s room was filthy. It looked like somebody puked in the urinal… three days prior.
But the food was excellent. That I can’t deny.

This is easily the worst Juicy Crab location I’ve ever been to. I’m from Daytona Beach and have eaten at several locations, and this one was extremely disappointing. The restaurant did not appear clean, and the food quality was very poor. The crab legs had almost no meat in them and the food tasted old.
What made the experience worse was the response from management name AJ. Instead of addressing the issue, the manager wanted to argue about the quality of the food that was served.
I also found it strange that the restaurant was completely empty during what should have been a dinner rush, which should have been the first warning sign. For a place that has apparently been open for a long time, the standards and atmosphere were far below what I expected.
The only bright spot was the bartender, who was amazing and clearly did her best to keep customers happy despite the situation. If it weren’t for her effort and professionalism, the entire experience would have been a complete failure.

I am sharing this review literally a month after I tried this place for the first time. I ordered takeout. It was Christmas Eve and I needed to get something to eat due to me needing to take a break from cooking. I ordered something before them through doordash, but unfortunately, the store ended up closing before I could order from them. So I chose to try these guys instead. I ordered the fish basket with fries and the shrimp basket. Everything was SOOOOO greasy. I couldn’t finish the fish due to it tasting funky as I was trying to finish the filet, I felt a little lightheaded after eating the shrimp, the fries were the only thing that were edible. The receipt even had grease on it. I wish I could say I enjoyed the food, but I cannot. Next time, I think I’ll just hold my breath and pull through by cooking for myself on the same night of holiday prepping.

This is easily the worst bathroom I have ever witnessed in a restaurant. It was dirty and there were flies flying around. It smelled and I couldn’t wait to get out of there. This has to be a health violation.
The service was ok and they were very busy.
The food receives a 1 because the bathroom is an extension of the food experience so I can not rate it higher. The bathroom gave me concern about the food.

Food was a too salty for me. The sauce didn’t have much of a taste just salty and spicy (I did get hot) but still it was like it was missing something. And I definitely couldn’t have did with out the sausage… I will say the service was decent. Thanks to our server, she probably was the best part of the experience

Got there right after lunch the place was quite nice and clean they sat us in a booth, the waitress Juliette was polite fast and let us know all the specials. She took our order repeated it back to us I was so impressed with her service and her professionalism alright thanks again Juicy crab

I decided to try Juicy Crab in Northlake last night (1/8). I ordered takeout.The fried catfish basket with onions rings The catfish was salty. The onion rings were greasy..I threw the food away. I definitely will not be back. I do want to say the young that took my order was very polite.

Horrible service. There were 5 tables with customers with only 1 person being a hostess and waitress. The older gentleman stayed behind the bar watching while one person moved around to help people.
It took 15 minutes to get our drink order and it didn’t come until another 10 minutes after. I seen everyone complain about their food/service. AVOID this establishment

I had an extremely unpleasant experience with this establishment. I called ahead to ask about the wait time and was rudely yelled at by the person who answered the phone, who said, “YOU CALL A LOT OF TIMES, I TOLD YOU NO WAIT,” and then hung up on me. Completely unprofessional.
Despite that, I still decided to give the place a chance because I was really craving seafood — which I now regret. When I arrived and mentioned what happened, the hostess apologized and said it was likely the manager. Shortly after, I overheard him say, “This place is really going down,” which honestly says a lot.
If this is a franchise, upper management seriously needs to step in because the customer service here is awful. It’s no surprise the restaurant is always empty while Red Crab House across the street stays busy — that’s where we ended up going instead.
