Standard Chinese takeout but the food is amazing. The fried food did not taste greasy or like it was in old oil and the lo mien was perfect! It was not over saturated with random veggies.
I saw a review that said cash only but I was given the option to use a card.

Not too bad. It’s OK.
Their general tofu (bean curd) seems good, not the best. The sauce tasted more of sweet and sour sauce and less like general tso.
The broccoli and brown sauce was OK.
The vegetable fried rice was pretty good.
The vegetable spring rolls were overly salty and overly greasy, I wasn’t a fan honestly.
You order food through a custom window of their front door. Not a bad idea. Obviously you can’t go into the restaurant right now, so there’s no restrooms or dining in.
This place is located in a small plaza and 2 doors down is the food lion grocery store.

Happy has been here forever and never fails to disappoint. The garlic chicken is nice and spicy and the ta chin chicken is delicious. Large portions for a good price.

Worst carry out food I ever had. Egg Foo Young was burnt and the shrimp were small canned shrimp. Gen Tso chicken was mostly cooked skin. Shrimp toast was burnt.

I just spent 45.00 on the worst food ever got general T chicken with house fried rice and 2 wing platters there was 1 baby shrimp,, rice was old and dry in all platters egg rolls and wings saturated with old oil hot mustard packets old mustard are dark brown fortune cookies old like rubber this food made me miss Philly so bad if u are smart save ur money

Happy Chinese Restaurant is the ONLY place my Husband and I go to for Chinese food in a 25 mile radius of Ocean City! The food here is AMAZING!
We eat here constantly and buy so many different things from the Moo Goo Gai Pan (I add shrimp to it…so GREAT!) to Chicken or Beef with Broccoli to Shrimp with Lobster Sauce to the large meals of Triple Crown or Happy Family. WE LOVE IT ALL!
We ALWAYS ORDER 2 QUARTS OF PORK FRIED RICE AS IT IS SO FREAKING DELICIOUS my husband and I get our own quarts to have with dinner and leftovers for the next couple days!
I especially love that Happy Family easily works with me to add shrimp to a meal or extra chicken so I can get my protein in the way I want.
I personally LOVE everything except the Egg Rolls, but my Husband Absolutely LOVES The Egg Rolls! Do NOT go by me with them though as I’m not a big cabbage fan..the main ingredient in an Egg Roll. lol If they put more pork crumbles throughout it though I would eat them in a heartbeat and probably order 2 or 3 at a time! If you haven’t eaten here before don’t hesitate to try it, not only is the food GREAT, but so is the staff!

Don’t let the location and stuff fool you this spot was really good when you got a craving for Chinese food. I got the hunan beef dinner meal for $15 and it was loaded up full with beef and veggies and the rice was really fresh and tasty. Def recommend. I was so hungry I devoured it without taking a pic but it was good. Tons of broccoli and all the veggies tasted fresh and the beef was nice and tender. Would go back. Nice family run business 🙂

When we were at Happy Chinese yesterday we ordered General So’s and Dumplings. The dumplings were cold after just a walk to the car in 85 degree weather. However the General So’s Chicken was good and very spicy which I like. I’m more concerned about the atmosphere. There was tinfoil on the appliances and cardboard boxes on the ground of the kitchen, Quite concerning if you ask me. The service was nice and the nice lady’s daughter was helping her translate. Have a great day
