Was in the area after 3pm and did not realize they were closed, but the door was open so I walked in. Despite being officially closed for the day, they still took my and another patron who walked in as well. Ordered a stuffed cabbage and it was huge. Being they were closed, it was served cold and I just heated it up when I was home which worked out great. When it came time for dinner, heated it up and made for a great meal. Live fairly close and never stopped in, but will add them to the mix. The have other Polish favorites as well that are probably equally as good. All in all, a nice spot with fairly access to getting on and off Route 287 without having to travel to far out of the way.

Amazing Polish food! The owner is so sweet, she kept bringing us more food to try for free! There are a few booths if you’d like to stay and eat, and a record player with about 1000 records to choose from! The pic is my stuffed cabbage, so delicious. Prices are very reasonable.

Hidden gem in Boonton! Everything’s delicious… the pierogi are as close to my late grandma’s as I’ve found anywhere. The barszcz (Polish borscht) is perfect for chasing away winter’s chill. All the meats are yummy too, and don’t miss the poppy seed roll.
Everyone’s super nice and all the food tastes homemade. Check it out!

Guys. Do better please. The first time they got my pierogi order completely wrong. Come in a few months later and now it’s sitting in oil. The bag was soaked when we got home. Ugh.

Hidden gem. Atmosphere for a deli is something out of a magazine. A great place to take a date for lunch. You can eat in. Highly recommended

Great Polish food at a very reasonable price. Definitely going to be coming back here often. The ambiance is also very relaxing with the record player playing.

They were cordial and friendly – even giving me a pierogi sample – and the kielbasa and sauerkraut was excellent! Highly recommend this little hole in the wall!

I am 71 years old and I grew up with a Polish grandma who is one of 15 children. Eight girls and seven boys. And going to the roadhouse deli is the closest I’ve been yet to finding authentic Polish food that reminds me of my grandmother and her sisters, my aunts, authentic Polish cooking. Don’t waste your time, driving all the way down to Botany Village in Clifton. This is the real thing. New Jersey’s best no doubt.

They make great sandwiches and have very good pierogi and kielbasa. An added bonus is a large vinyl collection with a turntable playing to listen to music while you wait for your order.
