My wife recommend this place and so we went today. I ordered the Baja Fish Taco and the Skirt Steak tacos based on the recommendation of the Gal behind the counter and My wife ordered the Street Carnitas and the Barroa Taco. We shared an order of guacamole.To be perfectly clear, it was ALL so good, so very very good! But the Fish Taco, for me, was the BEST FISH TACO I have had in this valley for such a long time. There are only a few places I will eat a fish taco in Salt Lake, But my count just increased by one place today and seriously, it was A REVELATION! The assistant manager delivered our food with a smile and talked to us for a minute and told us that they had only been there for a month and a half. That is good because if this place had been open longer and I had not been able to enjoy their food sooner, I would be so sad! The inside was so clean and as the name of the place indicates, it felt modern and very nice. The salsa counter was covered and very nicely presented and they had 3 house made sauces that were also otherworldly in their body, texture and the FLAVOR! BAM! SO GOOD! My favorite was the picante but they were all so delicious!
If you are in the sandy/Midvale area and want your tongue and tummy to be delighted with some tacos ‘El asombroso’ stop by for a taste and see for your self. I’ll bet you are not disappointed!

I love to find a great restaurant early in its run. If you love authentic tacos, but wish they were made by someone who really knows how to cook, this is your place. The folks that own Sol Agave have created this new concept restaurant where you have tacos you’d find in Mexico, but prepared so well, and in an updated Utah-healthy-fast-food style environment. The staff are helpful and friendly, and there’s a fun, musical Latin vibe. I do not know of a better taco place in Utah at the moment.

This was our first time here and it was simply amazing! I ordered 5 of their carnitas street tacos and a side of rice. The food presentation and service was wonderful and to top it off they have a habanero beet salsa that was amazing!!! Will definitely come back again! Thank you!

We are from out of town and so sad that we are!!! This would definitely be a once or twice a week spot!! Blackened shrimp was delicious and they also had a deal on their carnita tacos! Fed 2 people for $24 including tip! Owner was such a sweetheart!!! We will be back!! I promise!!

When they say fresh, they mean it! At first, I saw the gourmet tacos and thought $7 seemed like a lot for one taco … but wow! The steak was top quality and honestly one of the best steak tacos I’ve ever had. The crispy potato tacos were amazing too . Everything was so fresh and full of flavor . Worth every penny!! I’m definitely adding this to my favorite Utah spots ⭐️.

I loved the meal. We ordered the pig belly tacos, the NY steak tacos and chicken tacos with the spicy mole. The steak tacos were the best steak tacos I ever had. The chicken was average. The pork belly was also great. We also ordered the chorizo queso and it was flavorless and not worth the money in my opinion. Plus they gave us three small corn tortillas to dip with it which was nowhere near enough and would have preferred corn chips. While the food was good in my opinion it was not worth the price. I think there is equatable places for cheaper. It is 6-7 dollars for one taco. They are mid size tacos.

This place is nothing short of amazing! This is not your average taco restaurant. They serve gourmet tacos with a delicious twist! We hosted our family get together here and all of us were impressed with their exceptional service and appetizing meals. The Store Manager Gio was very friendly and helped us with our large group order and was most accommodating to our needs. The servers did a great job in making sure our orders were correct. The blackened shrimp taco was the most popular dish among our family members as it had the perfect amount of flavoring and texture. I happened to try their banana flan and I loved it; I am not a huge fan of banana flavor but this dish was fantastic!
