Jaw dropping food, super kind staff, and immaculate vibes. Went here for the first time for brunch and it was INCREDIBLE. Possibly my favorite restaurant in Greenville! Can’t wait to go again! Highly recommend the sweet potato cinnamon roll and pimento cheese biscuit with chicken. The chicken was juicy and tender and the cinnamon roll was perfectly baked with just the right amount of icing on top. Loved the indoor and outdoor seating options, and the music was at a good gentle volume so we could enjoy it but still have a conversation. Thank you to all the lovely people working in the kitchen for being so friendly and making such amazing food!!

Whet for the first time last weekend. It was a little chilly first and thing in the morning as it’s in a “greenhouse” kinda add on room, but the space is great. I had the bacon and egg sandwich, my wife got the chicken biscuit. Both were amazing. Portions are huge and would easily work for sharing. We got a cinnamon bun to go, definitely another win. They brew Blackbeard’s coffee, so you know that’s good. My wife’s chai latte was really good as well. The two folks working that morning were delightful. Will definitely be going back.

Sweet Violets is straight up one of THE best restaurants in Greenville and rivals many upscale places in Raleigh. Emily (the owner and award winning head chef) has a God-given culinary talent and really puts her heart into every dish she makes. The dishes are inventive, creative, and a harmony of flavors that always delivers an out of body experience. We had the sweet potato cinnamon roll and a grilled cheese and simply could not stop smiling during the entire meal because the food was so good! I have brought friends to Greenville from hours away just to try her dishes. In addition to the fantastic food, the staff is incredibly caring and the service is fantastic. I cannot have alcohol due to a health condition and the staff were so kind to make me a non-alcoholic mimosa and a caffeine free tea! Coming to sweet violets is something we look forward to every week. You won’t regret the trip!

Came here for the first time while visiting Greenville and I am so glad I did! Food was fantastic and flavors were varied in all of the dishes. The staff cares deeply for customers- my order was made incorrectly at first and they quickly corrected it and gave us a muffin so we could still have something to eat while waiting. Drinks are fantastic as well! Amazing place with amazing people.

One my favorite culinary experiences in Greenville. Food was just WOW. And then WOW again. Incredible, will be coming back again. Ask to combine the pimento cheese biscuit and the chicken biscuit.

I know this sounds dramatic but I say it with just plain honesty – this was the best chicken biscuit I have ever had. The price was intimidating but the serving was huge and more importantly it tasted so good. The chicken was brined in something delicious, fried in front of me to a delicious perfect crust, and put on a bed of soft, delicious sourdough, hot honey, and kimchi mayo. And it was SO juicy. Service was also amazing. A real treat
EDIT – I went back a second time and got the most overpriced piece of bread of my life. The French toast is barely toasted on either side and did not have preserves on it like the menu said. The matcha was $8.50 which I can’t even imagine how that price is justified, I’ve been to other cafes that use ceremonial matcha from Japan and their matcha lattes are $5 at most. My partner got a strawberry matcha anyways and I tried it, it was the worst matcha I’ve ever had. Bitter, tart, sour. This doesn’t change the fact their chicken sandwich is life-changing though, just stick with savory items.

Edit:
So we came back. Decided to try the French toast with raspberry preserves. $14 for a hunk of bread caramelized on both sides with freeze dried raspberries (not sure where the preserves were), powder sugar, and whip cream. Yummy but not worth the price. Got a Matcha Special, which was strawberry matcha with strawberry cold foam. I love a plain matcha, I love a sweet matcha, this was a tart matcha, difficult to mix and drink. Tasted premix like milk with a hint of unripe strawberry, then mixed it and hoped the jamminess at the bottom would punch it up. It didn’t and I was a bit disappointed. It was a $9 drink after all. I’m not changing my rating because our first time here was so great and the service was truly very kind. I’ll stick with the savory food items and the coffee next time!

Kind staff and delicious food. The portions are great, you’ll leave feeling full and happy. Definitely one of the best chicken biscuits I’ve ever had which feels almost sacrilegious having grown up in the south and being a huge foodie. Kimchi aioli adds creaminess and tang to the fluffy biscuit, the honey doesn’t make it overly sweet and the brine they use for the chicken keeps it moist and sooooo flavorful. Definitely coming back the next time I’m visiting friends in Greenville.

Sweet Violets is JUST what Greenville needed – a wonderfully luxurious yet laid back cafe vibe with some of the most decadent flavor profiles. My personal fav are the pimento cheese biscuits – have one and you’re hooked! I’m also a big fan of the chocolate + butterscotch cookies topped with salt this place has something for everyone. Next time I’m going to try the beverages – including a lavender lemonade and a bright green tea they have seating in “the green room” (kind of like an indoor atrium with plants), outside out front right on Dickenson, and on the back patio

The atmosphere of this place is insane. So gorgeous. It feels like something you’d find in Raleigh. The food is just as outstanding as the vibe. The sweet potato roll and bacon+egg+cheese sandwich incorporated both sweet and savory/salty elements, even floral. I can’t name anywhere that you can get items as unique as these. More importantly the staff were really nice, and some of the decor had a silly vibe which both made me smile c:

It is such a treat having a place like this in Greenville because the food is so incredible, I could see it being something I would pay top dollar for in new york city. The BEST food and pastries I have ever had, ever. Each dish is like a work of art, and equally as delicious. But you’re not just getting incredible food it also comes from good hands. I met Emily at the farmers market and she has a heart of gold.
Highly recommend. (I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried, never had a bad dish. My personal fav are her pimento cheese biscuits)
