What a Wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere was welcoming and inviting. I was greeted and waited/serviced by one of the owners. Ms. Marinella was an Absolute Pleasure, very attentive, engaging and patient.

The food was Magnificent, everything was cooked to order and prepared to perfection. My husband and I hoped all over the Menu after thoroughly enjoying our Appetizers. We wanted to taste more… We have found a New spot for Date Night! I’d highly recommend to anyone looking to have an overall Great dinning experience!

Stopped in to celebrate our anniversary. We tried several dishes, the goat curry was the clear winner and absolutely delicious, I cannot recommend it enough.
Clean facility, friendly and attentive staff, and diverse menu. If you are unsure of what to order, just tell the staff the type of protein you’d like and level of heat, they will take it from there.
Parking can be a bit of a challenge, make sure you give yourself extra time (an patients) to do a few lapse. It’s worth it.

We looking for a place close to the airport and randomly chanced at Vedas .
The ambience is nice and cozy with a decent size dining area and nice decor, there is a outdoor dining area too (probably for parties).
The food was delicious – we could taste the freshness, the spice level and flavors were just perfect.
What impressed most about the place is the service. Our server truly went above and beyond not just to accommodate our needs (some folks in the party had special dietary restrictions and the server and chef took special care of them), but also took extra care to help us with things that normally we never see in a restaurant (like helping cut up the meat for us because we were handling a baby with one hand).

We’ve going to Vedas for the last 5 years+, because it’s our go to Indian food, flavorful, creamy, and fulfilling. In fact, a few days before my first child’s due date, I went in for their all you can eat buffet, since I knew we wouldn’t be back for it for a while. There are other Indian options near us, but we always prefer Vedas. The Goan Fish Curry is our favorite. We’ve brought our vegetarian neighbors and they say all of their vegetarian dishes are delicious. Sadly we’re moving out of the area, but we hope we can go in before we leave and visit again whenever we’re in the area. Keep this place alive during this pandemic! The food is just as delicious as take out, since that’s all we do now days since we have young kids.

We have had the pleasure of dining in and catering with them as well.
Hands down the best Indian food this side of googleplex.
The goat is amazing, the tandoori chicken had no color and lots of flavor. Complimentary tea helps wash it all down so well :).
If you are around the area, it is worth a shot.

Update (09.12.2015):
We’ve been going to Vedas’ weekend buffet for nearly a year and we’re still impressed by their delicious food and amazing staff. Everyone, from the manager to the chef and servers, will bend over backwards to accommodate your needs/wishes, however reasonable or ridiculous.

We love how Vedas’ customer base is mostly Indians, thus telling us that its food is pretty authentic. We look forward to their yummy, perfectly-seasoned curries each week. We hope Vedas will not water down their spices to appease the one/few patron(s).

If you’re looking for deliciously seasoned, Indian cuisine, Vedas is a definite hit. If you’re frightened by a little spice, go elsewhere.

After trying numerous Indian restaurants in the peninsula, I’m so impressed with Vedas. Their curries are flavorful and skillfully made by Indian chefs.

Vedas is a small, nicely decorated, modern establishment run by friendly and attentive staffs. Their daily lunch buffets are fresh and varied. Beside their delicious curried chicken, lamb, and veggies, they have a nice spring mix with fresh fruit salad rather than the usual boring iceberg lettuce.

Sometimes its worth the drive from San Francisco to San Mateo for the great food at Vedas. All my friends agree, the food is authentic Indian and innovative at the same time, tasty without being spicy or greasy. The place is clean and elegant. Keep it up Vedas!
