Grains & Taps is a gem of a brewery and taproom that every craft beer lover needs to experience. From the moment you walk in, the welcoming atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The knowledgeable friendly staff and great beer and food selection, make it a great spot to hang out with friends or enjoy a quiet pint on your own.
The beer at Grains & Taps is nothing short of exceptional. They offer a diverse selection of brews, each one crafted with care and precision. Whether you’re into hoppy IPAs, smooth stouts, or something in between, there’s a beer for every palate. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and always ready to help you find the perfect beer to suit your taste.
But it’s not just the beer that shines at Grains & Taps—the food is equally impressive. The menu features a variety of dishes that go beyond your typical pub fare. Featuring food from Burn Theory Fire Kitchen. The flavors are bold, the ingredients are fresh, and each dish is perfectly paired with their brews.
The service is top-notch as well. The team at Grains & Taps is friendly, attentive, and passionate about what they do. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, they make sure you have a great experience.
Overall, Grains & Taps is a must-visit. It’s the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time, enjoying great beer, fantastic food, and good company. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by—you won’t be disappointed!

This is good. Go here, they never look busy, and not really sure why? The neon kittens is amazing, I like it better than Martin City’s IPAs. They’re on the 5star365 website too, you get a bogo drink once a month, 10% off for other visits, and a birthday drink—all free to sign up for.
We got to the Martin City Pizza in the same square multiple times a month. I wish we’d tried it sooner, we were clearly missing out.

We were excited to visit a new place with our Pub Pass- however, we were met with rude comments and terrible service. Our table had 10+ fruit flies, and we only had beers. Will absolutely not go back.

Brad and Brian have spent the past several years building an impactful brewery and home brew store in Lees Summit! The new pine tree location allows them to scale up brews, including a regular brew that the owners sponsor to help the local home brew club, ZZ Hops! The atmosphere is great and the service is awesome. The beer is always phenomenal (Bri Fry the head brewer is great and often floating around

Just got an appetizer for food but my pretzels and beer cheese were great and timely. The beer was all super cold and the bartender offered suggestions that perfectly suited my typical taste. Good range of beers, little bit of everything for everyone.

Food = Beer! Their selection is top-notch. Well done with the dry stout draft and haus bier. We enjoy stopping here for a really good beer. If you’re in LS this place is a must to check out.

Huge hearted humans! I went to this place for a unique need. I do Wildlife Rescue and I have a Netgun that requires 16 grain CO2 cartridges. These cartridges are actually hard to find in local stores and I couldn’t wait for a mail order delivery. I needed it that day for an injured animal. The website said they were open at noon so I went in only to find that the brewing supply area did not open until 3 PM. So what did they do? They took me on into that brewing supply area and got me exactly what I needed. The animal was rescued and released of fishing string that was wrapped around its leg so now it won’t lose that leg. I also found out the owner of this establishment and his wife do their own animal rescue of cats and dogs at Kansas City Pet Project!

The red ipa and the German Pilsner were both great, clean and true to style beers. Neon Kittens with their fun bright label matches the effervescent NE IPA inside….

If you’re on the search for stouts, the hunt should bring you to Grains & Taps. More excellent imperials than anywhere, and should you desire lighter beers they have a great variety. I’ve honestly been to no other brewery where so many stouts were available on tap, all in-house!
