I unfortunately am here to downgrade my review from five stars to 2.
after going to Big Apple bagels in Oshkosh for over 10 years. They just have lost their touch. I don’t know if they dropped their quality of products or just Don’t have properly trained staff after the new owners took over in 2024/ 2025. but their smoothies are crap, they went from being the best in the Oshkosh to the worst. First one they tried to serve me was so thick I couldn’t get the big air bubbles out. Or the bottom/middle section. I would consider that a solid at this point, not a liquid and I’d ordered it as a beverage along with my bagel.
I had to have it remade four times before they produced a drinkable smoothie. When you order a beverage you expect it to come as a liquid. Not a solid that can’t even let air move… The narrow straw they gave me was useless. And they didn’t have spoons.
I ordered peaches on the beaches requested pineapple to make it sweeter.
Multiple people tried it no one would drink it. I couldn’t give it away to friends or my kids .
all taste is bitter orange, like they added orange rinds to it. Just gross which is so disappointing when I used to order it every other saturday for years when the old owners where still around.
Their bagels are still good at least, that’s why they have 2 stars for food instead of one. but I go for the smoothies.
In the future I will drive across town to the nutrition discount center, or tropical cafe to get a good smoothie. They’re bigger about the same price and taste better. Nutrition discount is healthier. I don’t know about tropical Cafe nutrition wise or if it’s just syrup but they definitely taste better and know how to make a smoothie as it’s supposed to be part liquid, not a solid.
No one could drink this drink, It was so bitter and disgusting tasting like orange rind. The trash is where it ended up. Waste of money and time.
I’m so disappointed in what has happened to this place, it was once my favorite place to go. After it getting worse and worse I don’t think we will hold out hope for it to come back … I think it’s gone and a shell of what was we don’t plan to go back.

The food smells good but the service is absolutely abysmal.
Came in for a pickup that was ready.
They had eight people waiting in line and took 5 minutes to even help the next person after finishing up the person that was there.
While their employees walking around like they don’t know what they should be doing…
Gee how about handing me that order that’s ready, you know checking with the people at the pickup sign.. if you’re not going to put it out where we can grab it likely cuz people are stealing it, then perhaps you should pay attention to give it to the people when they show up smdh.
Foods just sitting there getting old, because you can’t pay attention.
And your people on the line have no sense of urgency they didn’t get a single sandwich made and the entire time that we were waiting there.
It takes you more than 5 minutes to make an item?
With a prep table in front of you?
This business is not going to last very much longer if you all keep that up.
No wonder why I’ve never heard of it till recently.
The service is so bad nobody wants to spread You by word of mouth.
You have like 20 tables in there, for what? You couldn’t hope to serve that many people in a timely fashion, clearly.
If I was the owner I would be pissed.

Ordered a classic turkey on the garlic parm bagel and what I got was nothing like the picture. I had it toasted and literally was so crunchy. It hurt to bite into it and there was one piece of turkey on the bagel. And didn’t get the pickle. What the heck, very disappointing

My mother is on hospice and my brother-in-law wanted to do something sweet. He even ordered my mom a chocolate cheesecake muffin hoping she could tolerate it the softer texture. We picked up the order there was no muffin and my little girl was sad because there were no Oreo ones and she saw them in the basket. We called and I was called a liar they said they know they were sent! We have 15 people here that saw what was brought and here is the receipt!

Waited for 2 being served just to pick up a tub of cream cheese. Lots of extra people. I guess only one is allowed to handle orders? And….a tub of cream cheese for $5.75? Won’t be back. You are going to price yourselves right out of business.

We placed an order and one breakfast sandwich was not in the bag that was given to us. We called right away to tell them that we were missing an item. My daughter went to pick it up on a different day and was given a hard time about it. Mistakes happen. I never questioned if everything was in the bag because I thought it would be insulting to question them. I don’t understand why they gave us a hard time. I’m not comfortable going back because of the incident.

The person who took my order and the person who made my food were LOVELY. Their coworker with the glasses who interjected only to ask if my name was my “birth name” and then insisted it’s really a nickname cos it’s not on my birth certificate can go walk in front of a bus

We wanted to get a bagel and the cashier said it would be a 30 minute wait. So then we almost left but asked to clarify we only want a bagel and then she gave us the bagels, but said it would be a 15 minute wait to get a side of cream cheese. After a few minutes we asked again saying that we just wanted a side of cream cheese and then she gave us that right away. I’m not sure that the workers actually wanted to work today.
