My recent visit to Naka Ramen was excellent. The food, service, and atmosphere all contributed to a great dining experience.
We started with a selection of appetizers, all of which were well-prepared and delicious. For the main course, the ramen was a standout. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles had a great texture, and the toppings were fresh.
The service was attentive and friendly, and the ambiance was comfortable and inviting. It’s a great place to enjoy a quality meal.
Overall, I had a very enjoyable dinner and would highly recommend Naka Ramen.

We have been coming here for a while now and they have never disappointed. It is the best Ramen we’ve had in this area. I get the Spicy Naka every time. The Food is awesome and the staff are amazing. Definitely would recommend Naka Ramen.

I’ve been getting ramen to-go here for awhile, it’s my favorite place that’s less than 10 minutes from me. Decided to try their other food inside, and they definitely excel best at their ramen. They give you a BUNCH of karaage, but it tastes different than other places I’ve tried. Also, the portion of chashu in the ramen is very generous. Service was GREAT, and the place is very quiet and quaint. I liked the music they were playing. They had a bigger wine and sake selection than I was expecting for a small place.

The decor in this place was pretty nice. It replicates a Noodle house in Japan. Wife and I, both thought Ramen was about 3/5. She got tonkatsu and i got the beef. What did make it come full circle was the chilli oil and pepper. Karage chicken was definitely great. If I come back here, it’ll be here for that.

My dining experience at NAKA today was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were greeted by an inviting ambiance that set the stage for an unforgettable culinary journey.

We kicked off our meal with an assortment of appetizers that left our taste buds dancing with joy. The Chicken Karaage was a perfect blend of crispy and tender, showcasing the chef’s mastery in frying technique. The Coconut Shrimp transported us to a tropical paradise with its delicate crunch and subtle sweetness, while the Fried Chicken Wings were a savory delight that had us reaching for more.

For the main course, we dove into a bowl of Spicy Miso Ramen that was a symphony of flavors. The rich and robust broth, combined with the perfect level of spice, created a bowl of comfort that warmed both our hearts and palates. The Beef Shoyu Ramen was a testament to the chef’s dedication to quality ingredients, with the tender beef slices complementing the savory soy-based broth impeccably.

The service at NAKA was equally impressive. Attentive and friendly staff members added to the overall positive experience, ensuring our needs were met with a smile. The restaurant’s environment struck a balance between chic and comfortable, making it an ideal setting for a casual lunch or a special evening out.

In conclusion, NAKA has managed to seamlessly blend exquisite flavors with a welcoming atmosphere, creating a dining experience that lingers in the memory long after the last bite. If you’re in search of a culinary adventure that marries traditional tastes with a modern twist, NAKA is a definite must-try. I look forward to returning to savor more of their delectable offerings in the future.

Amazing ramen, it’s located in a new area so it’s a very hole in the wall restaurant with not too much traffic. I had the spicy Naka and chicken katsu ramen both were amazing.

My 1st impressions of this place was that it felt very much like a Japanese ramen place. There’s a bar table, Japanese Obi wall hangers, Japanese decorations. Reminds me of Tokyo and Kyoto.
Started with a Japan’s tea that came in a see through pot with a tea basket. I appreciated this over the traditional pots which tends to leak while you pour.
We then had the salt and pepper wings which was a flavor bomb on the 1st bite. Crunchy, salty moist and smoky curry flavor. Enjoyed the 1sr 2 wings but started to get salty with the 3rd wing. I would share this with a few people.
My wife ordered the Tonkotsu ramen and I had the Spocy Naka Ramen. I tried both broth. The Spicy Naka is really a Tonkotsu with Chinese chili oil added in. Since the oil is actually in a jar on your table, you could just order the Tonkotsu and add chili oil to your liking. While I found the broth pleasant, I wished that it was deeper in pork flavor. The noodles were decent, egg cooked just right with a soft center.
Overall not bad considering for that part of Sugar Land there aren’t too many ramen options.

I have mixed emotions after dining at this restaurant. When we walked in the waitress told us to sit wherever we want. It was hot outside and the restaurant was nice and cool to eat a bowl of ramen. As a party of 4 we decided to order:

Appetizers:
Takoyaki (octopus balls) – shaped like a ball with a gooey filling and small pieces of octopus; not very many and some were a bit chewy

Gyoza – the size was pretty decent and the dish came out fresh. I dipped it in the sauce provided and took a bite. You can tell these were homemade and there was a good amount of pork filling that was seasoned and flavorful and juicy.

Chashu bun – came in 2, my son and brother ate them. My son said it was ok and the pork had a smokey flavor.

Main dishes:
Tonkatsu ramen – my brother ordered this bowl and he requested it to spicy

Spicy miso ramen – I ordered this dish and here was I got mixed feelings because I wanted to like it but I didn’t like the type of spiciness as it spiced up with hot chili oil vs the red pepper paste. Maybe I’m more inclined to eat traditional ramen…the chasu had a smokey flavor and the meat was tender

Spicy Naka ramen – my sister ordered this ramen bowl, she compared to my ramen and the soup flavor was indeed different. She was pretty indifferent about it.

Chicken Katsu Ramen – my son ordered this dish and a small piece of katsu was served on the side. He wished the katsu was larger.

The half seasoned eggs which were served on all of our ramen bowl were more hard boiled rather than slightly runny yolk.

Service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. I will leave at that.

Have already been here four times since their soft open! The first time I stopped by I had the Tonkatsu Ramen with the Shrimp Tempura. The broth was delicious and the noodles were just enough. The pork was a bit charred, but it was small compared to the depth of the broth! The tempura was crispy and smooth, tasted like it was hand breaded instead of frozen.

The second visit I had the Chicken Yakitori and the Chicken Katsu-Don. The Yakitori was juicy and flavorful, but the Katsu-Don has to be the best Katsu-Don I’ve had in Houston! I actually came back with my brother to have him try it as well and he agrees. I highly recommend the Chicken Katsu-Don!

The last time I visited, I had the Beef Gyu-Don and started with the Chashu Buns. The buns had great sauce and perfectly cook pork! They’re definitely a size to be shared, I could have had both as just my meal, haha. When the Gyu-Don arrived, it was a great balance of sweetness and savory flavors. Quickly finished the bowl and wanted more after!

I definitely will be returning and looking forward to trying more food in the future!

I really wanted to like this place but ultimately I left disappointed… For starters, the Karaage chicken had a soggy texture and it did not seem like it was fried very well. The chicken pieces were small and lacking in flavor, with the sauce only giving it a little bit of extra flavor. As for the ramen, while the noodles, pork chasu, naruto, and vegetables were all cooked decently, the soup broth was very bland and lacking in much flavor. When comparing to another Houston ramen shop like Tamashi ramen, the flavor of the broth just doesn’t compare. Really hoping they can improve the flavor of the soup broth in the future.

As for positives, the takoyaki was decent, and the server was very friendly and quick with our order as well. Hoping if I come back I can have a better experience!
