JD our waitress and her helper Catalina were Absolutely Amazing and Attentive towards all of our needs.
The Manager came over and gave my lady a free drink and free dessert and sang Happy Birthday to her.
Now the food which was perfectly cooked and perfectly presented was outstanding in its own right, and finally I want to give a shout out to the Bartender who made a perfect Lemon Drop Martini for my lady.
Thank you to the whole staff for an Amazing experience

The Chelsea Five was a very pleasant experience and provided beautiful ocean views while dining. Shelby, the restaurant manager, was extremely personable, sincere, and caring. Our waitress, Dayane, was very sweet and outgoing, too. It’s a hidden gem located in the Chelsea Tower of the Tropicana Hotel. Definitely worth the visit !! Be sure to try the Bourbon and Brown Sugar Meatloaf. It was absolutely delicious !!! All photos were courtesy of Danielle and posted on her instagram @danii.eatz

We went there for Christmas 2025. Service was ok, the server kept forgetting our drinks. The food was very good!
Just expect to pay about $50 per person, not less. Even if what you see on the menu is less than that, budget in for $50 per person, especially because they will sneak in an upcharge. For example, the server said “what would you like on the side”? Or “is crab meat ok on top?”… The questions were a bit shady because everything we said yes to was a steep upcharge
The reason for ⭐⭐⭐⭐ is the service for what you are paying wasn’t to my standards, and the portions are small.

Glad I found this place. It is a hike from the casino, but well worth it if you’re ordering the right things. The Clams Casino are worth the trek through two buildings! The Lobster Bisque is a sad miss. It completely missed the mark on the richness usually associated with Lobster Bisque, but was still tasty for what it was. Of all the entrees, I found myself drawn to the Meatloaf and OMG it was DELICIOUS!. The sauce served on it was thick and plentiful, but I managed to take a few bites without it, and the meatloaf was still moist and tasty. A little sad that it came with only 3 asparagus spears, but they were tasty as were the mashed potatoes and jalapeno corn biscuit. The old fashioned I ordered at the bar was kinda sad and I’m speculating that the glass of Malbec I asked for was actually Merlot. I feel like English was the second language for both of the bar staffers (which I’m okay with, but made for a strange experience). As a solo traveler (and many people who visit Atlantic City are), there was zero chatter between the bartender and any guests. I also got completely skipped over for any bread service which was sad as everyone else at the bar seemed to enjoy it. My appetizer and soup arrived at the same time (again, not the worst thing, but could have been staggere a little) Dinner arrived promptly as I was calling it quits on my mediocre bisque. When asked, the bartender handed myself and the gentleman next to me dessert menus, and I quickly opted for a brownie with ice cream, which was delicious but way more decadent than I thought it would be. The gentleman next to me asked a bunch of questions about dessert drinks and finally talked the bartender into making something off menu. After enjoying that drink, he asked for dessert and she seemed shocked that he was asking. She explained that the kitchen had already closed, but she did go ask, and they were able to serve him the ice cream that he had asked for. Again, I was surprised that there was ZERO communication that the kitchen would be closing. Seriously the food was delicious (with the exception of the bisque) and the views in the daylight are spectacular. I hope they offer more training to the bar staff of interacting with guests, but thats really it. Despite my experience, I’d definitely visit again and would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Mixed feelings on this place. Heard so many people rave about this restaurant so my friends and I came here to celebrate a birthday. For a Saturday night, it was packed but we had reservations!

To start, our server took a very long time to come greet us. When he finally came, we ordered food and drinks all at once. Appetizers came out fast but the entrees took forever—we were so hungry. Also our server was absent a lot of the time. Overall, food was okay. The Lobster Bisque and Clam Chowder were delicious! For entrees, the Seafood Au Gratin was good—super huge portion and loaded with lots of seafood. The Lobster Stuffed Salmon and Stuffed Shrimp were just okay. The Bourbon & Brown Sugar Meatloaf was disappointing, would not recommend this dish.

For dessert, our server brought out a cheesecake with candle for the birthday girl, that was sweet!

Had a great time at this restaurant. Got an ocean view while enjoying a tasty meal. Had the filet sliders and a few apps. They also included the Oreo Cheesecake on the house. Delicious. Served JD was the best. Didn’t wait long for the food.

A upscale style bar and restaurant in Tropicana. We had some drinks at the bar. The crowd was very dressed up. It is more of a place of meeting seating with setting at site pace.

Visited Chelsea Five Gastropub on a few occasions already and enjoyed my experience each time. This time was particularly noteworthy so I felt compelled to leave a review. I was staying at the Tropicana and booked my birthday dinner at Chelsea 5. Steak is always a great choice here. So for my main, I ordered the sirloin, medium well. The steak was cooked exactly to my liking and was bursting with good flavor. We also ordered the Mac n Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, Truffle Fries, and Honey Sriracha Shrimp. All the sides were amazing. I was given a complimentary Prosecco and Cheesecake for my birthday. We received kind and attentive service throughout the meal as well. An overall great and memorable experience. I definitely look forward to coming back.

Chelsea 5 gets 5 stars from me. Everything was great. Views were great, service was top notched, and food was great. Our server was friendly and answered any of our menu questions. Everything came out as ordered and tasted delicious.
Definitely recommend making reservations. You can get a window seat but there’s a charge for that. Prices are a little on the high side but it’s in a casino, down the shore so it’s to be expected.
