The happy hour $7 gainsbourger burger and $3 fries were delicious! Fries especially were memorable. Happy hour is all day on Monday.

First-time visit on a Monday night and arrived when happy hour started. Wish we lived closer, but then again, that might not be good for our waistlines. Wish I could give 4.5 stars.
Tried various items:
– Escargot: Good enough to satisfy our craving. Would’ve liked more parsley and garlic to go with our bread. Happy hour price can’t be beat though.
– Duck entrees were so delicious! Breast was juicy, tender, and done just right. Maybe crispier skin?
– Creme brulee and chocolate mousse: Pretty good. Maybe a touch of sweetness in the mousse?
Overall, we were very happy. Good food at good prices, such a rarity in Seattle these days for this kind of menu.

Ordered a variety of plates, they were all incredible. The fries are crisp and well seasoned, the mushrooms are complex and full of flavor, the duck was crispy and juicy. Favorite drink was the devilish tenant, very citrusy and just the right amount of bitter. Atmosphere is cozy, there are some family style seating areas. The perfect mix of classy french roots mixed with a laid back bar environment. Highly recommend!

We loved Gainsbourg. We had the Brussels sprouts, duck confit, and beef bourguignon and enjoyed everything. Especially on a rainy evening, we liked the artsy, dark, and buzzing vibe with the open kitchen and bar. Felt almost speakeasy like. Will definitely return.

I heard rumors that the food here was good and especially the burgers, so I came here to try it out and find out for myself. I got to try out both the gainsbourger and the duck confit.
I was very impressed by both dishes. The duck confit came with a nice glaze sauce over some sautéed greens over fried potato medallions. The duck was nice and tender with a crispy outside. I would stack up a potato medallion with the greens and the duck on top for one solid bite of all the ingredients, just wow!
Second I tried the burger and fries. The bread was very nice and light and the burger patty was very thick and beefy, packed with tons of flavor.
Staff was very nice, I liked the ambiance of the place, there’s indoor and outdoor seating. I will definitely be back to try some of their other dishes!

Great selection of cocktails with fun allusions to french cultural icons. I enjoyed the fries, but was there applesauce in the ketchup? The mayo was excellent.

Do not go to this bistro. I want it all to myself. The trout was very good, the steak frites were foodgazmic, the cocktails were divine. And the boar charcuterie was amazing. Plus warm baguettes right from the oven. Oh la la. C’etais magnifique. So take my advice and don’t go. I’ll arm wrestle you for a place at the table.

me and my boyfriend went for dinner the food was delicious but they are understaffed, it took around 35-40 minutes for our food to come and to seat took 20 minutes there is a sign saying seat yourself but then the waiter tell you to wait giving it mix signals. the service was not amazing and i understand when you have +50 people to serve with 2 waiters makes it tough. best onion soup tho
