I love this place! After some golf, come up and get some excellent food! The ceaser salad was great! Never had a bad meal here. The food came out really quick, and the server was very nice. We sat outside on the deck overlooking the 9th green. I will definitely be back every time I’m here playing some golf.

Decided to go to Backwoods for a dinner this evening. It was the three of us….me, my husband and his Mom. We walked in and it was dead. There were just three tables seated. Nice enough waitress. First strike, no Coke or Pepsi. It is a RC cola restaurant. They have a super small menu so you’d think it would be fantastic. NOT. The pretzle with cheese sauce was good. It was actually the highlight. Out came my Ceasars salad and clam chowder. The soup was spicy. It wasn’t a traditional NE clam by any stretch. My salad was a salad. It could have used crunchy croutons, not wet and soft ones. The MIL ordered a 1/2 order of ribs. They were passable. But, my poor husband got the fish and chips. The coating was so thick it was raw inside…wet, mushy, floury…disgusting. His French fries had so much bay seasoning on them that they were salty and actually inedible. When the young waitress saw the food picked over and pulled apart she should have asked what was wrong…she didn’t. We.pa8d the bill and said NEVER again. Ever. Do better people.It was empty. Your menu is small. Enough said….

Such a great experience! We got seated immediately without a reservation. Staff was very quick and friendly and the food was made to order, piping hot and delicious! We had a rack of smoked ribs, Mac n Cheese, Meatloaf w mashed potatoes and deviled eggs! Prices were all reasonable and the place is really nice inside and out and. We will definatly visit again and would love to try the outdoor dining if it’s not raining!

Highly recommended. The food is delicious. Large selection of beers on tap. We love the smoked wings, brisket, burgers and the Wedge Salad. We enjoyed the outside deck and views of the golf course. Highly recommend

I have visited Backwoods Bar on three occasions. My first visit was very nice. Our server was very attentive, friendly and accommodating and everyone in our party of 5 enjoyed their food. My second visit was just okay. We were a party of 8, and some of enjoyed their food and others did not. The service was very slow, but we were not in a rush, so it wasn’t a major issue. However tonight, my third visit, was not a positive experience. We were seated, given water and menus immediately, but that was it. A half an hour passed and no one came to our table. We patiently waited as many employees continuously passed by our table of 2 adults and 1 child without even a look, including from the owner/manager. The table next to us received their drink order and appetizer, and they were seated after us. The restaurant section we were seated in was nearly empty when we arrived just before 6pm on a Saturday night. Just as we decided to get up to leave, someone from the staff asked if anyone had taken our order, to which my husband responded “no, but we prefer not to wait any longer, so we will be leaving.” He curtly said “okay” and walked away. I write this review in hopes the ownership makes necessary corrections to improve their customer experience.

You Need To Know? Had 5:45 reservations on the deck overlooking the putting green. The scenery at this venue is spectacular. We had vegetable soup, smoked brisket cheesesteak, pulled pork sandwich, & the fried chicken dinner. This was mouth watering, competition winning bbq! The fried chicken had a Chipotle bacon maple sauce that was sweetening delicious. The pulled pork sandwich was so good that you couldn’t stop eating it once you started. The smoke brisket cheesesteak came out wrong originally & the staff were quick enough to recognize their error before we even realized. Friendly and quick service. All around great venue for BBQ! Now You Know! -TBH

We made a reservation, and we were greeted. The server then told us the specials and got us water. She came back five minutes later and took our drinks and appetizers. Both of which were good. She then took our order dor our dinner I ordered the burger and my girlfriend ordered the pot roast. She liked hers, and my burger was decent, but I ordered medium well and got medium rare. No big deal….unfortunately some of the other people who joined us for dinner waited for their food longer than anyone else at the party and they also said it wasn’t that good. One member of the party got the meatloaf, and it was so tough that he needed to use his knife to cut it. I can say that the drinks were good and the view and atmosphere were nice. Especially as the sun was going down. All in all, I think if they had possibly a little more staff to help, the food would’ve come out in a timely fashion. If you want to have a few drinks with some friends and enjoy the view with a lovely staff, then this is the place. For anything else, it’s kinda sub par.

Had lunch here after a round of golf. I had the pulled pork omelette. Very good, excellent presentation, home fries were a bit too salty for me. Wife had the beef quesadillas. See was pleased with them. Our waitress was excellent and the indoor/outdoor atmosphere is very enjoyable on a warm summer day. We would eat here again.

The Backwoods Bar and Kitchen is located near the next to the Greystone Mountain Golf Club and is certainly makes for a nice dining experience.
The Backwoods Bites is a tasty appetizer. These eight boneless chicken wings come in fermented honey garlic mustard, barbeque, barbeque verdi, and Thai chili. The Thai Chili isn’t spicy, but very flavorful.
The Baby Back Ribs were absolutely wonderful. The meat was very tender and completely falls off the bone. The barbeque sauce is tangy and quite excellent. The sauce is served in a little plastic cup, so make sure you order two of them because once you taste it, you’ll want to lather your ribs in it.
For garlic lovers, the asparagus cacio & pepe is definitely a splendid choice. The asparagus was delicious, resting on a bed of angel food pasta and tender slices of chicken breast.
The chocolate peanut butter cheesecake and the sugar cookie cheesecake were an adequate dessert, if not decadent. I would recommend adding more cheesecake.
Overall, the food was exceptional and well worth a visit.
