Spectacular service, food, and atmosphere! Parking was nice and spacious as well. This was my first ever time here, as I was in town for a conference. The cashier was very helpful and friendly. The prices are fair for what you get in return. I ordered the Spicy mushroom rice bowl and holy cow was it great! I was so impressed with it that I asked the cashier to tell the chef he did a great job. I will definitely be back here when I come back to Columbia!!!

A nice little spot. The atmosphere was great. Staff amazing. The sweet potato side is a must. The pork was spicy, however a little fatty. The beef was a little tough. Overall a 4.

I have felt for a long time that this area was missing kicked up or upscale Mexican Food.
Irene’s delivers just that. The menu has great variety. The items we ordered had a depth of flavor you don’t find in other Mexican Restaurant in this area. The flames from the wood fired grill add to those flavors and the experience. We will be back and highly recommend. Well done Irene’s!

I have several food allergies, so I reached out via email and received a phone call shortly after. They were so helpful on the phone and assisted in picking out items for me.
When we got there, the hostess was very good at working with the kitchen to ensure my food was safe. I was already impressed with the level of service.
When we got our food, I was in shock. For just a few dollars more than Chipotle, I got double the food of Chipotle AND was supporting a local business.
Irene’s is our new favorite, and we continue to recommend it.

Loved the atmosphere and the food is great. Tex mex meets bbq. It’s a great combination of quality food and flavors, and fresh ingredients. Full bar wall full of tequilas and mezcals. They also have an amazing catering option.

Not a fan of the atmosphere. It was loud, crowded, with a canteen hall aesthetic. The food was tolerable and that’s being generous. The flavor profiles are weird; it’s not BBQ, it’s not Mexican, it tasted like someone’s take on Mexican food who has never had real Mexican food but wanted to make it, and who also happens to cook a lot of BBQ. Because they don’t commit to either cuisine or frankly respect the cuisines it misses both.

Very good food and like the difference. The chicken thighs were very dry. The wait staff tries to be attentive but very busy and it is not an effective way. If you want dedicated service sit at the bar.
