Such a lovely Italian spot! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt cozy and inviting, and the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive. The Mushroom Soup & Gnocchi was excellent.

I went for the first time on Jan 20. My friends who spend part of each year in Italy, raved about it. They weren’t wrong. This is an amazing place with authentic Italian, great servers and comfortable surroundings. If this was in the heart of PS, you’d never get a table! I had a pizza. I was sorry there was none leftover – my seatmates kept “testing” it until there was none left. Their plates were mysteriously empty by then. superb flavours

We visited for dinner, and the wait staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We also got to talk with Antonelo Zito, the executive chef. He visited our table multiple times and made us feel so welcome!

My kids NEVER try new foods, and they ate + enjoyed his “special sauce” with plain spaghetti. I enjoyed the salad with burrata and the pesto pasta. The table also really liked the chicken piccata, midnight pasta and tiramisu. (:

Absolutely OBSESSED. This place is that girl. From the moment we walked in, the vibes were immaculate—cozy, romantic, and low-key felt like I was in a little Italian movie scene.

Very Expensive, Uncomfortable Service

We visited on Dec. 2, 2025.

Our server couldn’t find our reservation. She was told to seat us anyway and then she couldn’t find our table. She barely spoke English so we could not help her. Awkward. Disaster.

We ordered a burrata. It was not an actual burrata, but a tiny slice of barely formed watery burrata surrounded by 4 pieces of prosciutto. At $24, this was wildly over priced. We asked for bread to have with the burrata and were charged an additional $4.

A beer fo $10.50. A can of Coke Zero for an absorbent $5.50.

The pizza peppone was tasty and slightly less overpriced at $38. It could have used more toppings to support a $40 price tag.

When the owner (he is in the all too frequent instagram paid ads…) approached our table with our pizza in hand, he just stood there and stared at us. I guess we are also the wait staff now? We cleared our own table to make room for the pizza while he stood there an watched us silently. Again, awkward.

The bill. Another debacle. We paid in cash. A guy who had not previously helped us appeared mysteriously to make change. I asked him to break a larger bill so we could tip the server and he said they don’t keep cash in the restaurant and he had to go into his own wallet to make change on the bill. Hard to believe since they have a cash bar. Anyways. As such, we were forced into a choice: tip our server 10% or 40%. Again, awkward and unprofessional.

I live near this place and want it to be better. But this is my third odd experience and, unfortunately, it is now off our list.

What a wonderful dining experience! The owner and staff exceptional guidance for both wine selections and menu selections. The pride in their product is abundant and well-deserved!

I will absolutely dine here again the next time I am in town.

EDITED 5/27/2024:
My husband and I have dined here twice while on vacation. We had such an excellent experience the first time (see below) that we wanted to have dinner here again. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed the second time around. I think Palmina by Puglia has potential to be a 5 star experience, but their inconsistency and other issues are major detractors.

For starters, we ordered the kitchen carbonara as the carbonara show was not available this time (bummer but we understood staffing and supply were not in our favor). The dish promised to have the “same taste” as the show so we gave it a chance…While the show had plenty of crispy guanciale and flavor from the mixing of the meat grease and fresh Parmesan, the carbonara kitchen was completely lacking in flavor.

We also ordered the same pizza as the first time and were disappointed here as well. The topping portion of the pizza was so salty it was off-putting while the crust portion was sad and bland. The elasticity of the crust was still great quality, just tasteless.

The best part of the meal was the rigatoni bolognese for which I only have positive comments.

Lastly, we ordered a delicious wine at $80/bottle. Unfortunately we found the same bottle at Trader Joe’s for $8.99.

While the service was friendly and quick – I would no longer recommend this as an excellent restaurant.

Spring 2023:
Underrated. Had an excellent, authentic Italian meal at Palmina. The flavors and textures were incredible. It was hard to choose a favorite dish; truly there was no weak link. If we had to pick nits, we would say the pizza crust is a litttttle bit salty, but the texture of it was phenomenal. Our servers were attentive, personable, and helpful. If we were locals, we would eat here once a week. Grazie mille, Palmina!

Phenomenal!! We had a weekend girls trip in Palm Springs and came here for dinner on a Saturday night. Carlos was our server and he was exceptional.

We had the most amazing salad, spaghetti, butternut squash ravioli, and a pizza made by a world champion pizza maker from Italy. We also had a “soup of the day”. Everything was delicious. We will be back!!!

It was a wonderful experience and meal.

The food is delicious! No question about that. For two people we ordered a pizza as an appetizer and two entrees. The quality and authenticity of the ingredients definitely shows in each plate. The only thing I thought could be improved was service. We didn’t get as much timely attention from our server as we would have liked, and we noticed other tables were having issues with timing of plates as well. Felt like being back in Italy, where 1+ hour dinners are the norm.
