We moved in and out of Portland within 2 years, 10 years ago. I was downtown for business and decided to take a drive through Portland on my way home. I remember the old, white Budweiser sign building. Many companies and non profits have tried to help Portland, and it usually backfires, but this place is great, employs the locals, and has amazing food and drinks!
I purchased 3 cinnamon roll type muffin things and a cotton candy boba drink. It was priced reasonably, the drink was great, and my husband has been bringing up the muffin for 3 days now lol. It was so good warmed up. I was almost disappointed he ate his.
I was in and out within 7 min, the parking was good, the inside is clean and it was actually kind of full for 10 am. I don’t know if everyone was a patron, but the fact that this ministry has invested in their community in a way in which the community has buy in, is *chef’s kiss*.
We will definitely be back!

First off parking was amazing!! Second and most importantly the coffee and service was fantastic! I ordered the Almond Joy with oat milk and I had what I needed to start my day! Seating inside was cute and pleasing to the eye. I will come back when I’m out this way!

When a Pastor lies, that is a great offense to the LORD

WHY ARE THESE SO-CALLED MINISTERS LYING?

I attended this church for a short period of time, and became enbroiled in a great controversy where the Leadership has lied over and over.

The Lead Pastor has become obdurate and lazy.

Does he think ministry is about using people and lying to them?

Obviously.

He has lied to me repeatedly for three months.

He is now delegating others to lie and disrespect the LORD, all because he is lazy and totally deceived.

I have pleaded with them to return two notebooks that were loaned to them, and I was assured by the Lead Pastor and Two Elders that they would work to return the two notebooks to me, but it was all lies…

Then they blocked me from attending the Cup of Joy, all because they have lied repeatedly, and now want to hide their abuse of me..

No, this is not a ministry, it is a 501c3 chartered business.

A ministry is not required to get a business license to preach.

Because they want to use the 501c3 Tax Exemption to build wealth unto themselves, they had to get a business license.

This is why the Pastor has chosen to lie to me for months.

He could care less.

He needs to realize that this is far from over..

A Pastor may delegate many things to others , but he may never delegate his moral responsibilities.

I’m sorry to say this, but this is the worst Pastor I have ever seen.

Soon the fight will escalate to involve a massive national corporation whose brand they use to create credibility for themselves.

I will not let this Lead Pastor continue to lie

He will either stop lying or it may destroy this so-called ministry.

This little joyous diner is a non-profit through a local church called the Haven ministry. When you go in it’s got such a cute farmhouse feel to it! Very uplifting and well lit. Clean tables, flowers adorned.. they even hold church service here on Sundays. I got the biscuits and gravy, bacon, and country potatoes in it is not disappointing. The gravy is just Like grandma used to make!

Cup of Joy is exactly what it is named for a cup of joy! Everything was amazing, and your dose of faith all wrapped up in one. Go have breakfast or lunch and be blessed for the week.

Great staff good cause amazing desserts- we wanted to support local charity establishments while visiting Louisville from Canada We opted to do lunch at another local charitable establishment but heard great reviews from them about the desserts at Cup of Joy. We are happy to say that their desserts brought us much joy – we had a banana pecan muffin a coconut cupcake and a buttery runny tart. They are all highly recommended. FYI while there we saw lunches being served which also looked delicious. The chicken and dumpling dinner seem to be a very popular item. Highly recommend

Hidden Gem in the West End. I love Cup of Joy and the whole staff there. The coffee is delicious and made so many different ways you have to try them all! The food is amazing quality and taste at reasonable prices which is really hard to find these days. They have breakfast and lunch with great options for both. Hot Entree Specials change daily but they have a nice variety of sandwiches. Stop in and try out this fantastic local cafe.
