They deleted my last review, here to make sure people see it. I wanted this place to be good…I really did. I flipped a u turn to go to this place as I have not had good soul food since I lived in the South many years ago. I should have kept driving. The service was horrible. The main part of the order took OVER an hour to be brought to the table. In that time, we were lucky to get 1 refill. Glasses just stayed empty most of the time. When the food finally came, it was hot but had zero flavor. The chicken and catfish were bland, and the porkchop was tough and insanely salty. We had to use gratuitous amounts of ketchup and hot sauce to make the meal enjoyable. We left after 2 hours without receiving the rest of our order. They did refund the food not provided and the drinks. The lady at the register was nice enough. Overall horrible experience. Will not return.

Exceptional food and service. The catfish was the best we’ve ever had, and the wings and sides were excellent. Portions are large and satisfying. Everything is cooked to order, so there may be a short wait, but it’s well worth it. If you’re in a hurry, order ahead and your food will be ready when you arrive. Truly a rare jewel — highly recommended!

My experience has been nothing but exceptional at either places I visited. The food is amazing and carefully prepared and served.
I appreciate the wait time because the food is perfect never had a complaint. Being that they make the food to order I do not mind waiting for hot fresh and delicious food. Which is why I come there. If I want something quick I’ll go to Popeyes. ❤️

Delivery review— this review is specifically related to delivery and options.

When it is good, it’s good. Unfortunately, the consistency is not always there. The catfish is typically good but in some cases the portion seems to be smaller than before. Don’t get too excited when you read the sides— they do not always have all the sides available. Again, when they have it and it’s good, you’re going to truly enjoy it.

Regarding delivery, either the restaurant does notify the delivery apps and the apps just do not update or the restaurant just is not consistently notifying the apps. If they do not have the item, you are really only notified when your driver is picking up the meal… that is the part of the service I am not the biggest fan of!!

The food was 10/10. Service was also 10/10. This place is definitely known for its great food. We enjoyed review ordered. Shrimp, Wings , collard greens , Mac n Cheese , Yams.
Please go visit MaMa you won’t regret it . You’ll find her either in the back of the kitchen getting down and cooking or you’ll find her mingling around, thinking guests for coming to her establishment.

$29 on a meal, and dessert. Catfish was extremely bland. You will absolutely taste nothing but fish. Greens were barely seasoned and the Mac & cheese was dry and nasty. Highly disappointed. Also, not all the menu items are available everyday.

We’ve been wanting to go to this place since it was at their last location. Finally went, and it took forever to take our order. When our food finally came out we only got our main food had to wait for our sides, they were still cold like it’s pre-made and warmed in the microwave. The mac and cheese and tarter sauce tasted bitter like it was going bad. We had to send our food back to get warmed up more.
