We are a ‘from scratch’ bakery in downtown beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine. We bake bagels, and pastries fresh every morning. We make breakfast sandwiches available to order until 1pm. Furthermore, we have grab & go lunch sandwiches ready for your day in the park. We are known for our blueberry streusel pies, cream puffs & pecan sticky buns. We also make custom cakes to order. *We do request 48 hours in advance notice, availability limited to current scheduling*

Tasty baked goods in Bar Harbor! We loved the blueberry crumble pie. We also tried two bagels, which were not the best I’ve ever had, but were flavorful and loaded with plenty of cream cheese! They have coffee as well, but they only use Torani syrups which don’t always taste great. The ladies in there were super sweet, although the atmosphere wasn’t great, as I felt like it needed some quiet music in the background or something. Either way, I enjoyed the treats.

Slice of Eden made our wedding cupcakes last year and they were fantastic! We had half of them made as chocolate with Swiss buttercream icing and half blueberry lemon cupcakes with whipped cream icing. They were a huge hit and gone so fast! We decided to have them make us a small blueberry lemon cake with whipped cream icing for our anniversary this year since we did not have one to save from our wedding. They knocked it out of the park! I can’t say enough good things about this place.

On a cold February morning, while all other shops were closed in town, here was a Slice of Eden. True to its name. A small gem, hidden in its own peaceful delight. Turning strangers hungry faces into great big smiles. The egg sandwiches were excellent! I would recommend having breakfast here if you need something quick to go. Thank you and keep on keeping on!

Lovely bakery and coffee shop tucked in a house setting in the heart of the bar harbor. Supports a very rustic ambiance and gives very easy and chill vibes. Also, they offer amazing custom cakes with a day or two heads up. In terms of coffee offerings, they keep it simple with a few basic ones and have a couple of different flavors. I like their Pain Au Chocolate with and without the raspberry filling and their blueberry muffin.

Slice of Eden did an incredible job catering our dessert bar for our wedding. We also absolutely loved our sweetheart blueberry lemon wedding cake! Highly recommend this bakery. We also thoroughly enjoyed popping in for coffee and pastries while we were in town.

Great coffee and bagel sandwiches! My husband and I placed a to-go order then took our haul up to Cadillac Mountain to enjoy breakfast with a view! I thought the bagel sandwiches were simply delicious. We also got a chocolate donut, chocolate croissant, and a blueberry coffee cake for the road, but I think Slice of Eden really shines more with the bagels. The baked goods were ok, the blueberry coffee cake was the best.
I had a fun conversation with the gal placing our order, and would recommend a stop for breakfast!

The best breakfast sandwich, blueberry scone & fresh brewed iced tea I’ve ever had!
I was lucky enough to enjoy a beautiful afternoon snack at one of the outdoor tables. I ordered the “Western style” egg and cheese with turkey sausage on one of their homemade bagels. It was incredible! I love when a place offers alternatives to pork sausage. They have both vegan and turkey sausage.
I had to have something blueberry and noticed that they only had one of their scones left. So I tried that as well… Wow! It was so delicious!!! Their fresh brewed iced tea was seriously good too!
We had to take a few more baked goods back to our Airbnb. All of which were yummy. A must stop location when you’re visiting Bar Harbor…

Unique decor and absolutely delicious baked goods! We had breakfast sandwiches, scones and chocolate au pain. All were wonderful. We took the food back to our inn across the street to enjoy on the porch.
