Came for a carnitas super burrito and left with the largest burrito I’ve ever had. The carnitas was so good and juicy without the greasiness like other places. Service was fast, staff was very friendly and even threw in a bag of delicious house made chips and salsa without me asking. 10/10

New place in town. Decided to try it out with my husband. We got the macho grande (special of the house) and it was indeed enough for two! Very delicious. I love carnitas and this is a great example of it!

I literally just went there on a whim because the Philly Cheesesteak place was closed. I ordered a carnitas quesadilla and pastor taco and both are so freaking good. The meat and portions are incredible. I wanted to call and say so, but this place doesn’t even have a number yet. 100% recommend. Every person that has walked by me has said how good it smells and when I tell them where it’s from, they say they gotta try it.

If you are looking for top quality carnitas in the sacramento area, your search is OVER. I have tried many spots in the greater sac area and it’s difficult to balance flavor, moisture, portion size, and affordability. In Carnitas El Texano’s case, you are able to step back to portions and prices from 20 years ago, and flavor and moisture that is timelessly perfect. Macho Grande, the made for 2 people plate I tried was the best way to try the carnitas, (which they claimed were for 2 people but I was able to polish it off). PLEASE give this place a try, it deserves much more business!
