Was looking forward to a fresh funnel cake. It was served quickly and hot. However, it was very crunchy throughout and spicy. It was passable but not something I would order again. Perhaps there might be some cross contamination with the oil used for funnel cakes and other foods they are frying.

They did not show up to our scheduled event due to scattered thunderstorms in the forecast. The weather forecast was steady showing rain all week, but they did not cancel until that morning, when it was too late for us to get a replacement food vendor. At no point in the planning process did they mention that they would not be able to come if there was rain (and our event is always “rain or shine.”) They also claimed last minute concerns about there not being enough business due to weather, but our event was packed (with hungry people!). Tried calling them repeatedly and asking if they would come set up for the second half of the event once rain cleared….they did not answer and their mailbox was full.
Hot Dog Hideout: do better and be more honest upfront about your weather requirements. **EDITED TO ADD (because I can’t reply to the review): There was no signed contract. This was a school event and there were only email confirmations exchanged. I am requesting a copy of this so called “signed contract” – please send to me!

Went to the food truck that was in Annapolis on 8/18. I was pretty excited to try their food. Huge disappointment. Fries were cold, hot dog buns were cold, and the star of the meal….the hot dogs were pretty cool. Never again. The best part of the meal was the bottle water and the crunchiness of the onions and relish. Now I see why the google reviews have them at 3.7

Food was pretty disappointing for $25. Looked nothing like the pictures, fries were cold but OK. I think the funnel cake would have been good if not for being over cooked. Owner should probably lower his prices or improve food quality. Everyone always says you should have spoke to the owner but I didn’t want to spend any more time on this establishment, more effort would go a long way. Also, pay your employees having them rely on tips is not good business practice(They have a sign out that says employees work for tips)

We were so pleased with The Hotdog Hideout when they attended our Fall “Paw” Festival at Happy Tails Pet Resort! They arrived early to setup & had a great menu of options that was appealing to both adults & kids attending our event. The food was prepared quickly & tasted great. I especially enjoyed their fried zucchini & funnel cake with cinnamon sugar. Their prices were very reasonable also. I would highly recommend them & hope to have them back to serve our customers again soon!

Paid $5 for a tiny hotdog….(Plain) I was expecting at least one of those 7-11 size dogs.
Paid $2 for a flat can of coke…at least it was cold.
I’m glad the money at least went towards a good event, but come on guys. That was sad. The school cafeteria serves better hotdogs. If “hot dog hideout” is your name you would think that you put a little more effort into your hotdogs at least. It’s supposed to be your specialty.
Do better and I’ll change my review but I gotta keep it honest.
——
1. I said i was expecting a 7-11 SIZE hotdog for that price. I didn’t say the flavor profile of 7-11 was the greatest. Berk’s dogs at Iron birds stadium or ballpark franks would be better flavor profile. The point is if you can buy a pack of dogs at the store for $5, getting 1 hotdog for that price better be big and full of flavor.
2. I am not unaware of the struggles of running a food service. However one disadvantage food trucks have to restaurants, is you have one cashier (one line). You tell your customers they should come back so you can make it right. Sorry but most people are not going to hop back into a long line to wait for you to fix their food. The challenge of being a food truck is you usually only get one shot to impress.
I told you if you’re in my area again I’ll give you another shot and change my review. (Not everyone does that)
3. If you spent as much as much time and effort improving as you do arguing with your bad reviews you could probably bump your average to 5 stars. Please, stop getting offended by criticism because it’s not personal. I don’t know you, but even if you were my best bud I’d give you the same review because I want to see you do better.
Please just try to do better. I promise if I see your truck in town/at an event I’ll get in your line and give you another chance.

We booked The Hotdog Hideout for our daughter’s 1st birthday party at our home and literally every aspect of the experience, from initial consult to day-of was perfect. Our guests loved the food, Adrienne and her family were friendly and quick, and she stayed in constant communication with me on food status or other miscellaneous menu changes/guest requests. If you’re considering it for a party, DO IT. Having Adrienne and her team take care of the food relieved so much added stress from party planning and hosting. The negative reviews I’m seeing about the fries are bogus because they left a bunch of leftovers with us and we snacked on them well into the evening. We would book The Hotdog Hideout again and again!

We hosted Hot Dog Hideout at the Elms at Stoney Run, and it was a success. The food was fresh, the hot dogs were great, but most of all those french fries. Perfect for a quick treat or afternoon snack. The staff was amazing especially as there was a rain storm that impeded their turnout. I cant wait for them to return!

I meant to write this quite a while ago but life tends to get in the way. This is a great family owned business. I called them in a pinch (with never trying them before) when we had a community event get rained out and I needed a food truck to fill in for our rain date. They were quick to answer my e-mail and were able to accommodate me with just a weeks notice. In true MD fashion, the rain threatened to ruin our rescheduled event. We were in limbo that entire morning trying to figure out if we needed to cancel the event yet again. Adrienne and her family kept in contact with me the entire morning and allowed me to wait until the very last minute to make the call. We decided to go ahead with the event, even in the rain. The Hotdog Hideout showed up right on time and the neighborhood loved them! They were definitely a hit! They had a great variety of food for adults and children (more than just hotdogs!) and it was delicious! We are having them back this summer for our community food truck night. We also hope they will be available again this year to come to our Fall Fest again. This is a great truck to support if you see them out! Thanks Hotdog Hideout!

We have used Hotdog Hideout for 2 community events for the Bay Hills neighborhood in Arnold, and been so pleased with the experience. Adrienne was so easy to work with, communicative and accommodating. Her family is so friendly and sweet. The food is great for all ages, and tastes delicious! Highly recommend!
