Great assortment of bagel sandwiches. Really loved the traditional lox, bagel and cream cheese with killer flavored cream cheeses and a different flavor profile of the salmon using beet juice. Very cool. Nice folks made the experience very enjoyable.

We heard about this place on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives and decided to visit while in Gainesville. The food did not disappoint! I love lox and bagels but decided to give the carrot “lox” bagel a try. I got it with the rosemary salt bagel and 3 olive cream cheese. It was nothing short of amazing. First, it smelled like lox. Don’t ask me how that is possible. The carrots did not taste like carrots but approximated the flavor of lox. It wasn’t exact, of course, and the texture was slightly crunchy but much softer than I expected from a carrot. There was so much flavor everywhere that I only got maybe one bite where I could really taste the cream cheese, but it was quite good, and the olive flavor was just right. The bagel had great chew and was the perfect backdrop for the sandwich.
This is not, however, first date food. I’m not sure I can remember the last time I got that messy eating a meal. The spices are in oil and they stick everywhere. I had them all over my lips and even on my cheek. I am usually a very neat eater. So just be prepared for that!
Also, be prepared to pick up your food and eat somewhere else. The store is only walk-up with the inside for employees only. There are two picnic tables and three 2-person high-top tables outside, but you sit on the edge of a gravel parking lot in not the nicest area. I suggest taking your food with you to a nicer setting.
If you like bagels, this is a great place to try some unique combinations!

YUMMY BAGELS!
Came here several times for the truffle bagel and the tomato melt. Both were very delicious and very filling. There is a lot of outdoor seating and other restaurants as well!

I purchased from this bagel shop two different times. A true New Yorker here who loves a good bagel! I wanted to love this place, but I don’t. The everything bagel tastes more toasty burnt then flavorful. The sausage patty is thick like a hamburger patty and hard to chew. It is also pretty expensive for one breakfast sandwich.

Had the nova lox. It is not an exaggeration to say it was life altering. I’ve never enjoyed a bagel this much.

Kinda grew up on bagels from all over the country…so I’m familiar with boiled versus steamed and all that good stuff. Really wanted to enjoy the bagels from here. However, after three or four days, I still have three (out of 6) bagels left on the counter. My family did not eat 3. So that speaks for itself. Half my family is gluten-free The other half we enjoy pretty much anything. The regular bagels were ok (5/10) but the gluten free were a 2/3 out of 10. Hard, cold (when they gave them to me—obviously not fresh but day olds at-least). I paid almost $20 for six bagels and I felt like I should’ve only paid around eight maybe nine at most. A bit overpriced for what you get.

Nova lox bagel. The bagel had the perfect chew, the lox was extremely fresh, and the cream cheese was high quality.

Great little bagel shop in the heart of Gainesville. My wife and I both ordered the egg/cheese on everything bagels. The flavors were right on, the ingredients were fresh and the service was prompt and courteous.

Proof that there are some people in Florida that are bringing real cuisine to Florida. This is truly a rare find in Tallahassee. I worked in town for two months and this was the only truly healthy and delicious option. And it happens to be a restaurant that I don’t mind going every day. I had both the (vegan lox which I’ve never had before not being vegetarian) and the lox. Both incredibly delicious. The carrots they use for lox are truly original. The rosemary bagel. Dill cream cheese. They are awesome at what they do and think of.

• went around 7:15am, no line and quick wait time for my food (~5 minutes)
• egg and (cheddar) cheese sandwich on a salted rosemary bagel + extra charge for arugula and tomato slice (total price was just under $10)
• normal-sized bagel (toasted), I appreciated the texture and the generous amount of rosemary throughout the bagel
• the arugula and tomato looked fresh
• overall nothing mind blowing, but it was exactly what I wanted!
