Decided to try here on my lunch break I was the only person there when they opened up and was told 15 minutes and it took my whole break to get my order. I ordered fried fish and chicken and dressing. the dressing was very loose and the fish was fried so hard that there was no meat on it just crunch the chicken was very bland only flavor was added was from the hot sauce that I added.

I have never been so disappointed in a soul food restaurant before as I was today! The food was absolutely awful
First the cheese. Im afraid to ask what kind they use because it absolutely did not melt…ugh. then the smothered chicken was so salty is wasn’t edible try as we did, it had to be thrown, dogs wouldn’t even eat

Then as you see in the picture, the peach cobbler completely burned. They know they saw how burned it was when they scooped and served to me which shows the lack of respect for the customer
They forgot 3 items in my order. Steer clear if your smart, we wasted $90.

Order the Ulimate 4 wings and 2 Catfish combo via doordash and it was a smart move. The items was fresh and portion was great.

We ordered smothered chicken, wings, mac, yams and rice with gravy. Everything was delicious. We did door dash and the fact that we ordered at 645 and received food at 830 ( we knew the length of wait when ordering) even with the travel time every single item we ordered was still so good, crisp, warm, and all of it had great flavor, definitely made with love. Only thing I regret is not trying more items off the menu. Thanks for a great dinner!

Amazing 10/10. It’s like going to your auntie house for a plate knowing you didn’t call no more than five minutes before knocking on that door. We sat in the dinning area with our toddler, my son was dancing, the owner was interacting with him. Chef kept coming to give us time updates, I promise I could have waited all day. The food itself was no disappointment, after traveling from Chicago we NEEDED another taste of soul food. This place hit the spot, we will definitely be back. I got the Mac, yams, chicken dinner, greens, smothered chicken dinner, fries and banana pudding. We were there for maybe 20 minutes and we could smell it cooking. Love that this place is so close to home.

I took my son here for dinner, the food was delicious this was about a week ago. We ordered the ox tails with greens and sweet potatoes. The meat was savory, flavorful and tender. A few days ago we went back again ordering the cat fish, greens and sweet potatoes absolutely delicious This place is great!!!!

Nice and warm feeling atmosphere upon entering this beautiful eatery. Staff are friendly and welcoming with a great selection of dishes to choose from and you can enjoy eat-in or to-go, I ordered to go and was impressed with their menu! Had some stuff I never had /heard about before so I went with one of them dishes ! Keeping it a 50/50 . But It was amazing! I can’t Waite to go back to try another one I never had before! Go see for yourself ! It’s new to the neighborhood being opened in past 3 months or so, but definitely know what their cooking is outstanding, to say the least. ( my dish was smothered chicken? I loved it) thanks for sharing your skills with our community!

Being new to Minnesota it’s hard finding a black owned restaurant. I was advised to try this spot and it didn’t hit the way I was hoping. My boyfriend friend catfish was greasy. The macaroni had more seasoning in it than the chicken. I took about 4 bites of the macaroni. I don’t know if this is a new or old spot but this place do have potential if they take any of these reviews seriously.

I usually don’t EVER post reviews but I placed a uber eats order and when I received my food there was a long piece of black hair on the corn bread, the catfish did not look good it was just all skin and the red beans and rice didn’t look appealing, I tired this place one time from a friend and it was decent but this was it, NEVER ordering from here again, wasted money but I Should’ve known not to order when I was looking through their photos, and the lady was grabbing cornbread with her hand in the picture they posted
